  1. I do not want to see that Bonnie/Elena scene. Ugh. I have to hear Elena tell Bonnie she’s not in a good place when the bint couldn’t be there for Bonnie, when she didn’t have to hear about Bonnie being in a bad place? Non.

I don’t know why they act like they’re still scared of Klaus. He hasn’t killed someone they know in months. They don’t care about what happened to Tyler, so.

    • I do not want to see that Bonnie/Elena scene.

Lol when I first heard Elena talking to Bonnie I thought this is a halluzination of hers. Maybe she will turn around and then Bonnie is sitting there with blood everywhere and says “You killed me”

      This.
Also that part in the webclip where they try to give us a badass Klaus walk while he talks to the Sals on the phone all I had to think about in the end was, couldn´t he have parked in front of the Gilbert house because this was his destination or does he really like to stroll around in Elena´s neighbourhood?

LOL! So true. Does he just not have a car? Smh.

    • Elena got her period and it is a heavy one. I know how it is, Elena. Stay strong. You will need to wear the overnight pads during the day but you will be ok 😛

I liked this scene better when Teen Wolf did it with Lydia.

      • Lmao.

Now I know why I thought I knew that stuff in the shower from somewhere. They definitely did it better.
But in general I´m getting some 90s horror movie vibe from this stuff. Even thought maybe KW came back from TVD-retirement and co-wrote that episode but JP wrote it with Evan Bleiweiss. Maybe she wanted to make Kev proud.

Also the clip is so pointless because we saw that already in the promo, there is no new info. I thought that maybe Connor would stand behind Elena when she is turning around and all blood-smeared and would whisper “Killer” into her ear. Yeah I watched too many horror movies, lol.

        • It does have a bad 90s horror movie feel to it.

I thought that maybe Connor would stand behind Elena when she is turning around and all blood-smeared and would whisper “Killer” into her ear.

JP putting that Black man in a bathroom with her undressed White Elena? Oh lordy. I’m sure she would make it as suggestively problematic as possible.

  2. A very vague spoiler about the episode:

I loved that Vampire Diaries finally let Elena be a badass last week. Please tell me there’s more of that on the way! — Amy V.
I don’t think Elena is the vamp whose actions you’ll be talking about after this week’s episode. And let me tell you, what he or she does is going to ROCK. THIS. FANDOM.

    Source: http://insidetv.ew.com/2012/11/12/the-walking-dead-hawaii-five-0-spoilers/2/

So who is going to ROCK. THIS FANDOM ???

      • I think it is Stefan … breaking up with Elena. Don´t ask me why because they didn´t really built that up but I have a feeling something is going to happen and it will be Stefan who ends it.

        • Hmm, maybe. It would explain why Caroline is trying to be there for both Stefan and Elena in ep 7, why Matt is taking Elena to the dance, and why Delena end up dancing.

  3. I didn’t like this episode. At all. It’s the first of the season that I didn’t like.

    1) Elena’s hallucinations were too damn direct and over-the-top and simple. That’s the only reason why I dislike this ep. It’s like, she knew from the get-go that she was hallucinating. And the hallucinations didn’t get worse, they just stayed the same. Different people telling her the same thing. And they outright told her to kill herself? What kind of hallucination is that?

They should’ve had her hallucinate about her friends. Who the heck is Katherine? Elena should’ve hallucinated Bonnie saying that stuff to her. Then she would’ve hallucinated Jeremy telling her she’s ruined his life and asking why he never got a chance to keep the other people he loves. She should’ve seen Matt telling her that he’s actually slowly killing himself because he lost her sister in this mess, so Elena might as well kill him too. And this would all happen while she’s having regular conversations/interactions with all of these characters.

    2) I don’t think I’ve ever felt insulted by the show. If I have, then I don’t remember the time. But I felt true insult when Tyler asked Caroline how she was able to convince Klaus to give up one of his Hybrids, and she answered that she agreed to go out with him. I felt so insulted that I teared up. It’s so stupid. Like, let’s not even talk about ships. It’s plain stupid that Klaus would ask for a date or that Caroline would agree to a date. You know why? Because Klaus wants a hunter. So why the hell would he drag his feet when the opportunity came to get one?

    3) I don’t know what to think about Shane’s Silas story. Considering how over the top this episode was about everything, Shane’s behavior while telling this story might be an anvil saying “Shane is suspicious!”

Also, his first name is Atticus. Tragic. Good for him for being ashamed of it.

    4) I wasn’t feeling Bonnie in this ep until her last scene with Shane. Previous to that, she was acting like ep 5 didn’t happen and she wasn’t talking to him all, “Hahaha, you write books?” I considered that maybe it had to do with her being back in that toxic environment. She was looking at him during the exhibit like she wanted to kill him or something. Wtf? But then lo and behold, when she was away from that basic group, she was relaxed.

    5) Stefan broke up with Elena, and I’m not sure why. If I was a Stelena fan, then I would feel cheated because everyone told me that SE were going to give it a shot, but….they didn’t. They really didn’t. What did they actually do as a couple? That motorcycle ride?

    6) This hunter storyline is getting lukewarm. Jeremy couldn’t even kill the Hybrid by himself.

    • 2) I don’t think I’ve ever felt insulted by the show. If I have, then I don’t remember the time. So I couldn´t make a rhyme out of this aswell … and apparently Caroline made that deal because of Stefan. I don´t know if you saw those text messages he sent her when she was at the Grille (because I haven´t seen them), but someone linked me to a gif of it:

So we then have to go back to episode three where Caro promised that she would be there for Stefan if he was on the way to lose control or something like that (that would happen if he turns somebody, I guess?). And that´s why Caroline wanted to find another vampire to be killed … and apparently Chris was the only option.
Still don´t get why Klaus couldn´t just turn anybody on the street and not let one of his precious hybrids get killed.

Don´t ask me what kind of explanation that is because I don´t want to believe it myself.

  4. The Delena relationship got on my nerves for the first time in this episode. Not Damon’s part of it, but Elena’s. Elena felt like a ho-bag to me. Stefan got some sense in him and dumped her. I liked that. I’d rather Elena not being having feeling for and wanting to bang Damon, but she is. So Stefan dumping her was good.

Also, oddly, in this episode I started to HATE Caroline. The way she acts around Klaus and Tyler is sickening. I don’t want to ship Hayley/Tyler… but Tyler deserves better than Caroline. “Oh, we just killed your friend… to save Elena. Cheer up!” -Barf- Tyler shoulda cracked the glass over her head in that scene, then banged Hayley as Caroline slowly woke up. I stopped shipping Klaus/Caroline in this episode.

    • Why am I not surprised that it was Elena who got on your nerves and not Damon? And then, because Tyler shattering the glass next to Caroline’s head wasn’t bad or gross enough, writing-wise, you wanted him to knock her unconscious with it? You hating Caroline in this episode isn’t odd at all. She’s a girl and she made a guy less than happy, so of course she’s hated. It’s what always happens.

Don’t call Elena a ho-bag, whore, hoe, slut, or any synonym of those words on this blog, please. I’m serious.

It’s a triangle. She was always going to catch feelings for Damon. It ca be argued that it’s being done well or it’s being done badly, but arguing that it’s happening at all as kind of futile.

I don’t know why Stefan broke up with her. He’s accepted so much that I don’t really get what broke the camel’s back.

Also, Stefan has done nothing to protect Elena from the threat that is/was Damon so I don’t care about him “deserving” better.

  5. Meh to this episode. Already two mentions of Alaric and that episode can´t be any good. JP and her love for this character it´s unbelievable. I bet she wrote all those scenes with Damon reminiscing his drink buddy.

I agree with Alta about those hallucination, like I already said about that Bonnie/Elena scene that they probably cut or something it would have been more powerful to include Jeremy, Bonnie, Caro, Matt and maybe Tyler instead of Katherine. But I think they wanted to bring her back in some way because she can´t return to MF with Klaus being here. Fanservice probably.
That stuff Katherine said about Bonnie to Elena could give us so much if the show would care about character progress.
I´m still not feeling most of Nina´s acting choices.
But I thought that scene with her mother was pretty good.

So Elena killed Jeremy but we didn´t get him saying anything about it? His sister killed him, where is his POV about it or are we going to see more of this now that he is really one of those “Five”.
And why didn´t she give him vampire blood, he was still conscious when she realized that she stabbed him, but she only saw his ring and didn´t do anything about it. Don´t they remember what happened to Samantha and Alaric?

I´m sick of the Salvatore brothers. Just had to say this.

That whole Klaroline/Forwood plot with Hayley in the mix is so not interesting especially if Caroline falls for this flirt technic of Klaus. That talk in the Mystic Grill was lacking of sense and chemistry. I´m expecting a real big sob story next episode so that Caroline can see more of softy!Klaus or something and feel bad for him. She then will know more about him than anybody and will understand him more or something.
I thought the chemistry between Michael and Phoebe was better this episode but it´s still not interesting.
I didn´t think I would feel something about this hybrid sl but when Tyler talked to Caroline about Chris in their last scene I really felt that he had connection to them and when he talked about this being his “pack” I wanted so much more for him as a hybrid but the show never tried to make me care about the hybrids and their connection to each other. How did he meet Chris? Because of Hayley or are the hybrids best buds from the start. We never saw Tyler interacting with one of them.
Also that last scene was really good acting by Michael.

So Klaus lived through those hallucinations for 52 years, that´s how long it took for all “Five” hunters to be replaced or did he simply fight them off?
Also I don´t know why he is simply trusting this stuff about the “cure” … he knows how easy it is to fake a curse he did it for himself but he doesn´t question this legend at least once? He lets Jeremy kill one of those hybrids he has left and he lost already two others in previous episodes. What is going to happen when the cure doesn´t work?

That last dialog when Klaus talked to Chris before they killed them was seriously disgusting … don´t know why nobody in the writer room sees that it is so problematic.

I liked that story about Silas and Ketsia … interesting. I don´t know who Shane is and if he wants to wake Silas or is even Silas and has to free his power or something but I´m interested in this new mythology especially because it is all about witches.

Don´t know why Matt would go to Damon to talk about Shane … does he even consider informing Bonnie about it? Also what is even a Sheriff Forbes. We only hear about her these days.
Also before I forget it April needs to go …

I´m still confused about Bonnie and her magic … is she not telling the Sals that she has her powers back or is this “spirits”-stuff the new explanation for when Bonnie can´t do a spell? I didn´t really get all the dialog between her and the Sals so maybe I missed something.

Damon´s one liners are getting worse every episode.

I thought that SE breakup came out of nowhere and that logic with Elena´s feelings for Damon being magnified but no words about her feelings for Stefan is confusing. But that´s TVD.
Hope that with the breakup we finally get something for Stefan … but it´s TVD so.

Still trying to figure out what Caroline´s storyline is going to be this season. I don´t know where she is as a character anymore.

    • When Nina said, “I can’t do this. I can’t leave Jeremy,” it was soooo bad.

I think the fact that Jeremy was gung-ho to help Elena, the degree to which he was gung-ho about it, means we’re not going to get his reaction.

This show is a joke. It doesn’t take it’s own mythology seriously. Jeremy should start killing people NOW. His time is up. It’s time for his mind to deteriorate. I didn’t set that mythology up, they did.

How pathetic did Caroline, Tyler, and Hayley look when they were all, “You think he bought it?”

I didn’t understand what was happening when Caroline was all, “Okay, I have to confess. I actually came here to trick you.” It was so anti-climactic. Also, the way she was talking while explaining it to him was…..it was like she was talking to one of her guy friends. Wtf?

I thought the chemistry was better between Michael and Phoebe too, but yeah.

I felt for Tyler while he was mourning Chris, too. It as the best acting by Michael as Tyler since the transformation scene in season 2.

What the heck was Caroline saying in that scene? “We killed someone to help our friend. Chris wasn’t our friend.” So with a point of view like that, what the hell was she talking about when she told Elena that Bonnie always gets hurt? I mean Abby did die to save her friend Elena. And Abby mattered to Bonnie same as Chris mattered to Tyler. Caroline doesn’t get the latter, so what does it mean for the former?

Klaus said the hallucinations just stopped. It wasn’t through anything he did. I don’t get it.

They killed Connor in the Underground Railroad last ep, so of course this ain’t no thing to them. I need to rewatch the scene between Klaus and Chris because I didn’t notice how problematic it was on first watch.

I loved the Silas and Ketsia story. If this show was worth anything we’d get the episode where Silas and Ketsia possess Shane and Bonnie. Of course in this version Silas would have died so that he can be a ghost who can possess people. And we’d get 40 minutes of, upon other things, Silas trying to get revenge on Ketsia for burying him alive and Ketsia trying to kill Silas for using her.

I loved that Matt legit rolled his eyes at her. And then didn’t answer her. And then walked away. Lol!

She lit the candles, but she still doesn’t have her spell casting back? I guess. It might be trying to start a car that is almost out of gas.

    • I don’t think so.

She didn’t seem off to me. Just more relaxed, unlike ever other scene she had in this ep. Are you talking about the way she responded to him asking if Damon found what he needed? I think that was her version of lying.

  6. I wasn’t overly keen on this episode. Too many of the things going on annoyed me.

    1) Elena must have temporarily forgotten that she was vampire, that’s the only reason i can think of for why she didn’t give Jeremy her blood. Also her going on about Stefan compelling Jeremy – hypocritical much – how many times has she had him compelled again?

    2) What is the point of Tyler and Caroline pretending to break up. This isn’t like the situation in Season 2 with Stefan/Elena/Katherine where Katherine said she would kill people if they didn’t break up. What was Klaus going to do? I’m confused by this.

    3) Klaus/Caroline, what is going on there? ”If Tyler was still sired to me he never would of hurt you. I wouldn’t of let him.” Excuse me Klaus, but when Tyler was sired to you, you had him BITE Caroline.
Also, Caroline agreeing to go on a date with Klaus. What is that? Moments before this offscreen request he had turned around and said to her : ”Caroline, you are beautiful, but if you don’t stop talking I WILL KILL YOU.” And she’s going on a date with him? Seriously?

    4) I’m assuming Jeremy’s hunter storyline is going to involve Klaus and Stefan bringing him incapacitated and unconscious vampires to kill. I almost forgot that he has successfully killed a hybrid all by himself before. Now he needs the assistance of vampires in order to hunt vampires?

    5) We know that Alaric is dead, why do they need to keep mentioning it. No other characters death has had as much importance as Alaric’s is being given. They are killed and promply forgotten the next day. Are they planning some kind of resurrection in the future, is that we have to keep watching Damon buy drinks for an empty chair?

    • Why didn’t she just give him her blood? I don’t get it. Because there wouldn’t have been a need for the Salvatores to come to her house the next day? Are the writers that lazy?

When Caroline and Tyler pretended to break-up, I was like, “I already saw this in season 2.” What exactly is the goal of their pretend break-up? What does that have to do with them freeing the Hybrids? It’s not like Klaus knew Caroline was listening to that phone conversation.

I guess Caroline wasn’t afraid for her life since she apparently kept talking. It’s so stupid. That’s probably why they had it happen offscreen.

It was more interesting when Jeremy killed the Hybrid on the porch. Back then everyone wanted to send him out of town, but now it’s okay? The power of doing things for Elena, I guess.

I was thinking that nobody talked about the loss of Sheila this many episodes after she died. JP needs to move the hell on.

      • Also Klaus telling Elena that he wanted to kill himself but couldn’t because he’s immortal. I’m sorry, but until they show him survive having his heart ripped out or him being decapitiated I just refuse to believe in his immortality. And surely if he wanted to die that badly he could have just gone to Mikael who was more than willing to end his life.

        • but couldn’t because he’s immortal.

Lol now with you using the word immortal they are probably going to have some great meeting between those two immortals Silas (if he is real and going to wake somehow) and Klaus. What would his reaction be? One could only wish that the one kills the other.

And surely if he wanted to die that badly he could have just gone to Mikael who was more than willing to end his life.

So true and if those hallucinations are also his subconscious or something then they should have known that Mikael has a weapon to kill him. Also he still could have been killed by a witch, she just needs enough power and will (probably/maybe) die doing it but he for sure could pressure her or him into doing it. This show and it´s own mythology.

      • Every week a hybrid dies. They’ve completely jumped the gun. Hybrids are supposed be nearly unkillable and terrifyingly scary. This season all they are are chumps.

  7. I just saw an interview with Candice about what is going on with Caroline this season (so it is a little bit spoilery for the next episodes) and when I read one answer of her I just had to lol because of what happened last episode:

ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY: Where does Caroline go from here?

CANDICE ACCOLA: I feel like this season, Caroline’s just trying to be a moral center for not only herself but also the people around her. For Elena, through her transition. For Tyler, just making sure nothing comes between them.

    Source and more: http://insidetv.ew.com/2012/11/15/vampire-diaries-candice-accola-caroline-klaus/

    • Lmao. I thought that was Matt’s job. From what I’m seeing, Tyler doesn’t need Caroline to be his moral center. As of this episode, he’d be worse off if she was.

I think that’s what so enticing for viewers to watch a character like Klaus. The second that you think he’s being the nice guy, then he’s the bad guy. The second you think he’s just a bad guy, he’s a nice guy. He isn’t a one-note bad guy. He does have a genuine side, and I think that through Caroline, we’re getting that perspective.

      No. -_____-.

I don’t understand her answer about Caroline being too good to help Elena.

So Caroline and Stefan find a friendship in trying to really protect the ones that they love, even if the ones they love don’t want protecting.

      Ugh.

  8. Just realized that Matt has been in every episode this season so far (the same goes for Jeremy) and with Bonnie probably missing the second episode next episode, she is the only one from the regular cast who already will miss two episodes. And April will be in more episodes this season than Bonnie.
