  1. Feel free to post the trailer(s) in a comment if you don’t want to wait until tomorrow. I will then edit it and put it in the opening post (with credit) tomorrow.

  2. After episode 3 I wanted to ask about that part of the synopsis:

The situation quickly turns violent when Klaus sends one of his hybrids, Dean (guest star Blake Hood, “The Young and the Restless”) to stand up to Connor.

Why is Klaus sending in his precious Hybrids? I thought they are a dying breed and he wouldn´t want to lose even one of them. And we know he is going to be killed because Connor has to at least kill one vampire/hybrid.

  3. I ship Klefan so hard right now. Klaus loves him so much, he would do anything to keep Stefan close. PW actually tried in his scenes tonight A for effort for him.

    Really with Rebeka really though.

    I hate Damon.

    Connor’s body is just OMG.

    • you think he tried? I think he was just horrified by the material. I would be. Klaus/Rebekah’s scenes were way triggery. Like I felt like crying Klaus was/is a trifflin’ bastard!

      • Yes. I believed him when he said there was a million other things he could be doing.

Yes Klaus with Rebeka was the worst especially the last flashback scene. He needs to die.

Is it me or has there been a lot more compelling going on this season?

        • Is it me or has there been a lot more compelling going on this season?

It´s not only you. Also I almost forgot that Pastor Young blew up the whole vervain suply with him and the council members in episode 1. That´s what Klaus said in this weeks episode … so the Originals could compel the group (also the vampires and Tyler) and everybody to do what they want. Isn´t the group afraid of that?

    • “I called in some other Hybrids to help, too.” They’re all so pathetic.

Ugh, will Bonnie really come in time to help? I mean she would because of Matt, April, and Jeremy (and I’m thankful for the shoutout to past Beremy even though Jeremy’s a nobody rn), but I foresee Bonnie having to swallow these vamps killing someone because “It had to be done.” Ugh.

      • “I called in some other Hybrids to help, too.” They’re all so pathetic.

Also shouldn´t they still be on keeping Connor alive … they are sired to Klaus and he wants to keep him alive to have this map for the cure. Or are they only pretending to help them?

Btw do you think that what Rebekah said to Klaus with him never loving someone/ being loved and that whole speach before he “daggered” her will bring us all meaningful Klaroline stuff where her reflects that he wants Caroline to the one that loves him?

        • Klaus probably didn’t task all of them with that goal, although I’d think that part of the sire bond is that Klaus doesn’t have to voice his desires. We know that only one Hybrid is going to go in to face Connor, so I wonder how many really do come to town.

I’m positive that Caroline’s going to teach Klaus how to appreciate his sister. She will tame that bad boy. Rme. Remember in the ball episode when they had Caroline tell Klaus that he can’t just make people like him or whatever, as if he wasn’t 1000 years old and should know this already?

          • We know that only one Hybrid is going to go in to face Connor, so I wonder how many really do come to town.

Yeah … do you think that Klaus is in this episode? Because on one hand Tyler says that he called the hybrids to help them but in the synopsis Klaus sends in one of his hybrids. Is he already back from Italy?
Also that guy in the promo who gets blown up (or at least looks like it) do you think that´s the poor Dean Klaus sends in?

Urgh if that´s really what happens and then in the end Klaus “undaggers” Rebekah and tells her that Caroline taught him a lesson and now he appreciates family.
Yeah I remember that … and also how she suggested that he should have a talk with his father if they really had some problems.

            • Yeah, Klaus is in this episode. He and Stefan form “an uneasy alliance.”

My first thought was that it’s the Hybrid who gets blown up.

Oh yeah, I had forgotten the part about his father. Rme.

      • I hated Bonnie not being involved at all with the planning, but they take it for granted that she’ll do what they need her to do. At least put up a front and invite her to these things so that she feels apart of it all rather than just “the tool.” But maybe she’ll be too “busy” with Shane.

And lol @ you referring to Jeremy as a nobody. I love Jeremy, but I’ve not read anything truer than that statement all day. Poor boy.

        • I never wanted Bonnie to want to kill Connor, so I’m glad she’s not there. Connor kind of has the same mentality Bonnie had at the beginning of the show: these vamps hurt innocent people, so they must be taken out.

          It makes me so sad.

    • The Bonnie that lives in my head would react as so:

Caroline: Damon wants you to try and help us. He says to use Jeremy as motivation.

Bonnie: First of all, Damon has my number, if he wants me to do something you tell his trifling ass to call himself. Secondly, did I not just tell you that I can’t do magic. And lastly, I’m busy. Tell Jeremy I’m sorry, but I’m sure all of you strong and immortal white people can figure out how to kill one black dude. There’s a whole house full of the souls of dead black witches. I’m sure y’all got this. (end call)

**imagine the neck roll as needed**

    • I just wanted to mention that it is so sad that Tyler only wants to get to Connor because of revenge and not to save his best friend (lol) Matt but then I rewatched it and the group only knows of Jeremy being kidnapped. They should know that Matt is at the Grill. It´s his second home, lol.

Also still don´t know why those people aren´t more informed about what is going on in Bonnie´s life. They look on the faces of Stefan and Elena when Caro says she can´t do magic … did they even ask about what happened after the spell she did in episode 1. Stefan definitely should know it. That Elena hasn´t asked about it even though she was on a roadtrip with her shouldn´t surprise me … but it still makes me sad. I just can´t help it.
And these writers still think this group is pretty close and everybody is such a good friend to Bonnie or to everyone. I have never seen so much disinterest in friendships.

      • Lol.

It’s ridiculous and lazy. But it’s also how they keep the different relationships at square one. I’ve never seen a series show so much disinterest in friendships either.

    • “My brother is the only thing holding me together.” Since when?

Apparently since this episode. They didn´t even have a real scene together since the season premiere.

      • Nope. None. Elena didn’t ask Jeremy how he’s dealing and he hasn’t asked her about her feeding thing. Nothing. Is it that important for her scenes to be filled with Salvatore’s every damn episodes?

  4. Lol exactly why are the writers stil trying to make the hybrids happen?

I saw some people getting mad at Damon calling Bonnie ”The wicked witch” erm why? It is not like he doesnt insult to her face, also at the end of the day they still need her and annoyingly no matter what is said she will help them.

If anything I am wondering who is writing this season what is up with the abuse/name calling towards the woman on the show? I feel like it has increased this season and we are only on ep 4.

    • I have no idea. They need to stop wasting their time.

I saw some people getting mad at Damon calling Bonnie ”The wicked witch” erm why? It is not like he doesnt insult to her face,

I know, right? I’m over people getting shocked/mad at Damon for insulting Bonnie. Like, open your eyes and realize who he is. I think I even saw someone say it’s ooc for him to insult/shove her? Oookay.

It’s the person who’s been overseeing the seasons for 2 years now: Julie Plec. She loves her some misogyny.

      • Lol right never mind the fact that idk he has been making snarky/mean remarks about Bonnie I think since season two oh also the fact that you know he killed/turned her mother.
The only time that I thought that a moment was ooc when it came to Bonnie’s treatment is the Bonnie/Klaus scene with the history that Klaus has with witches that was just bad writing.

I am seriously starting to think that she doesnt like any of the girls on the show.

        • I know, right?! He killed her mother and then was impatient when she was upset about it. What isn’t he capable of saying? He’s compelled the woman he’s actually in love with. I mean come on.

Yeah, that Bonnie/Klaus thing was ridiculous. He wouldn’t do that. He used to know his place wrt witches.

Boys trump girls, White trumps Black, etc. That’s how JP does things.

      • Yeah, I’ll be surprised and I’ll also think it’s a mistake. Katherine is out of place right now, with everything that’s going on. Let’s be real: the only place they would have put her was to say she dated one of the five, and they gave that to Rebekah. Lol.

    • I think she won´t show up anytime soon. They have Rebekah, Elena and Caroline to play with … especially this Rebekah/Elena dynamic so why bring in Katherine? If she shows up then I predict in episode 15+ of this season.

  5. So, I haven’t been watching the show- Matt Davis and the writing have completely put me off it- but I’ve been following the reviews and the chatter on here and let me just say: Damon pushing/bumping Bonnie is completely in character. Damon is first and foremost a BULLY. Always has been. Bonnie is now in a weak position, so of course she’s fair game.

Also, I saw a discussion on tumblr about the Salvatores slave-owning past and it got me thinking…Stefan is the one who says Damon abandoned his post in the war because he didn’t ‘agree with their ways’ but the way Damon’s return played out on screen was more along the lines of ‘hot, mysterious siren sleeping in my house…I need to be in position to get some of that.’ Watching the scene, Damon’s deserting had nothing to do with the war and everything to do with Katherine. And unless the writing at some point acknowledges how fucked up Bonnie’s position on this show that glorifies the old south- built on the backs of ppl who looked like her- I’m just gonna have to conclude that it is intentional. She’s basically playing servant to a couple of slave-owners and the descendants of slave-owners who dress up and celebrate their barbaric ancestors at the drop of a hat.

    • I’m glad you’re still following the reviews! The season isn’t that bad so far, but you know the relationships, especially the interactions with Damon, are still as nonsensical as ever.

Damon pushing/bumping Bonnie is completely in character. Damon is first and foremost a BULLY. Always has been. Bonnie is now in a weak position, so of course she’s fair game.

Yup, yup, yup. The writing’s gotten to the point where Damon doesn’t fear anyone anymore, and Bonnie isn’t someone to be feared. Damon doesn’t respect her or see her as a person, so of course he’s going to bump her out of the way. Just because you talk to someone, doesn’t mean you see them as a person, a person with wants, needs, fears, a person who is just like you.

Damon and Stefan were alive when White people, like them (must keep the emphasis), acted like Black people, the ones allowed in the house, were invisible. A time when they expected Black people to be invisible. Like, it wasn’t even a thought for them. Black people just did not matter. It was ingrained. A time when Damon and Stefan could have conversations around the dinner table with their father, or gallivant around the house with Katherine, and this would all happen around the house slaves/servants like Emily, because the mindset was that they wouldn’t say anything/didn’t think anything. That was Stefan and Damon’s life. That is their generation.

So them talking to Bonnie or hugging her, doesn’t mean jack crap, because the pattern of their treatment of her harkens back to what I wrote above.

Watching the scene, Damon’s deserting had nothing to do with the war and everything to do with Katherine.

Saying Damon “didn’t agree with their ways” doesn’t mean anything. Damon left the way and came home to….a house that had Black servants, a father who was most likely a racists, and a brother who was most likely the same. He didn’t agree with their ways, so he just said adios? So? And then he went home and basically upheld the institution? Damon went home and started fooling around with Katherine and worrying about his own life. So what Stefan said means nothing.

  6. Elena and Damon’s interaction in that clip reminds me of this Delena fic that I read yesterday: http://upupa-epops.livejournal.com/186989.html

This is exactly how the author wrote their dynamic. I liked the fic a lot.

Buuuut, their interaction also reminds of the point this post raises about how Damon treats/reacts to Elena (ignore the anti-Bonnie crap that started the conversation): http://summersbrine.tumblr.com/post/34810441849/i-would-have-saved-you-in-a-heartbeat-okay-i-dont

    • Really love the shot of Kat when she is looking over her shoulder out of the window.

Steven looks like he is the real business here. That´s also the outfit from that horrible group shot, where he looks like he just walked into it. Maybe they took a shot of him walking from that promo to include it into the group foto, lol.

If only his storyline would be as awesome as he looks in that promo.

Also where are the other guys?

      • Maybe they took a shot of him walking from that promo to include it into the group foto, lol.

        Lmao.

        And I know, right? *Sigh*

To be honest, I don’t know why Candice is even on there, aside from the unspoken fact that she’s the fourth lead. I quirked my brow at the show they chose to use for her character. Says everything, really. I mean, what does Caroline have coming up this season?

        • Says everything, really. I mean, what does Caroline have coming up this season?

I really don´t know … I´m asking myself this since the start of the season and with Elena being a vampire now and Rebekah having so much screentime. Caroline was just there.
But they will probably do much with this triangle and Klaus and her attraction for him, whereever it comes from.

    • Lame first question *_____*. They don’t know what’s good.

You find out more about his relationship with Professor Shane and exactly what they’re trying to get from one another, why they have this alliance.

YAY! I’m still iffy on whether Shane will make it out of the episode, though.

  7. YAY for Bonnie spending the whole episode with Shane and so not going back to MF to stop Connor! I’m nervous about her being open to manipulation though. Yikes. There’s nothing wrong with being manipulated as it would kind of show how much her life is lacking in someone to look out for her, but I’m nervous about how it will come off. I also don’t think it should be that easy to manipulate Bonnie. I feel like she should be so closed off.

I’m surprised about what Jeremy will find out. NOT looking forward to the April thing thing though. Ugh.

    The Salvatores are tired.

    Caroline and Hayley……

I laughed at Elena’s training coming in handy. Sorry. They wrote her the way they did before and suddenly they’ve always wanted her to do stuff? Whatevs. We’ll see if I believe it.

    • There´s another article about the episode: http://www.ksitetv.com/vampire-diaries/vampire-diaries-eight-things-about-the-killer/17590

      – Bonnie’s off in Dr. Shane-land. I guess we should be thankful Bonnie is in the episode at all… too bad most of her scenes are off with Dr. Shane, who is helping her bring her own magic back.

Not liking this part … so does this mean we only see her in two scenes or something? One scene with Shane the other one with the group or something?

      • What does he mean “Too bad most of her scenes are off with Dr. Shane?” Because her scenes with the other members of the cast are always so great? She only had two scenes in episode 2, and Shane sure wasn’t in that episode.

I’d rather she not interact with the group at all. We know she does next week and the eps going forward. I can handle her taking this ep away from them.

From the way Craig wrote her part, I don’t think he’s even impressed with the Bonnie character at all, so I’m not worried about what he says or thinks.

        • I’d rather she not interact with the group at all. We know she does next week and the eps going forward. I can handle her taking this ep away from them.

Same here but it would be cool to see her in those action scenes, but I don´t want her to go against Connor either so I´m glad it´s only those other fools who go against him.

Don´t know how she could interact with the group though … how many hours is the college away from MF? Or do you think they show Caroline calling her and that´s the scene with the “group”

From the way Craig wrote her part, I don’t think he’s even impressed with the Bonnie character at all, so I’m not worried about what he says or thinks.

He probably also only wanted to see the action in the Grill and those scenes with Bonnie and Shane will mostly be about her powers and more insight on her character and not that action-filled.

          • how many hours is the college away from MF?

We’ll probably never find out *_____*.

and those scenes with Bonnie and Shane will mostly be about her powers and more insight on her character

Lord forbid we get some insight on her -______-.

    • I can only co-sign this letter. I really hope that he is going to survive, already opened a prayer circle for him.

Also thanks to you now I´m seriously thinking about shipping Connor/Lucy, lol.

Your love for April is showing, that was one of his greatest moves.

      Also:

I know in my heart that you killed Damon behind that church because the show had said about four scenes earlier that regular vamps can’t survive those bullets. You have to understand that it’s hard nowadays for them to maintain continuity in the same damn episode.

      Headcanon accepted.
This show is the worst. Are there even people who re-read those scripts?

    • “Here’s the thing, we like to do this every now and then… what we like to do is introduce a trope that you sort of think you know where it’s going and everyone gets all up in arms because ‘Oh here comes the slutty little vixen in the show and Tyler’s a cheater and that’s how they’re going to break up [Tyler and] Caroline to get Caroline to Klaus [Joseph Morgan] … and then we like to basically be like that’s not at all what we’re doing.”

      Shut up, Julie.

People assume that’s all that Connor wants to do is kill vampires and that he derives some kind of pleasure out of it but it’s quite the opposite, he’s a very tortured man. [….] This tattoo – he’s not able to be compelled by vampires but it kind of compels him to do what he does.

Oh no. I had a bad feeling when he said the last hunter felt like he needed to kill vampires. Can we get some agency up in this show?

  8. So what’s the over/under on Connor dying tonight? He is so gonna die.

So Jeremy is going to be called to be a vampire slayer once Connor dies. Very Buffy. I’m assuming that’s what is going to be plaguing him in the upcoming episodes.

    Loved your letter to Connor.
“I will always remember how you stabbed April for the greater good”
Real housewives of Disney Prince laugh “HaHaHaHa” at that line.

Is Jeremy only going to remember the compelling from last episode or Denver as well?

  9. My baby is gone :((((. Happy to see Elena will pay for that though :).

A Black person died so a White person could get power. Nice. I’m talking about Jeremy’s flop behind. Ugh. His anger wrt compulsion was nice and I liked him not feeling the fact that April was compelled.

I can’t believe Jeremy asked Elena if Damon/Stefan told her what was going on with him? Really? Don’t you two live together?

Elena. I mean she was good. I’m just not engaged with her. While she was freaking out about Stefan taking Damon out, all I could think about was the time she conspired with Stefan to break Damon’s back. Don’t act brand new. Stefan didn’t trust him and you didn’t trust him that one time. Also, her anger was more about being lied to than about Jeremy being compelled. For goodness sake, she stood there while Damon suggested compelling him to go to the Bahamas.

“Stay away from my brother.” Damon killed your brother, so. I really don’t care about her concern for Jeremy.

Damon says he’ll take Elena either way. True. Good moment.

Stefan can’t handle her as a vampire. Good. I wish they’d elaborate because there’s good stuff for Stefan there.

SHANE! “Just do what you do.” Lol, is he squeamish? He looked squeamish. He has published three books. I knew he was a publisher! Bonnie is important to what he has planned. I will hate. He distracted her by helping her get her magic back.

“It’s better when you smoke it, but I’m trying to be a role model.” Lmao. Shane please. You were at a frat party.

    BONNIE! Bonnie/candles OTP.

BONNIE/SHANE. “I want your undivided attention.” Oh yeah? “What I have in mind might come off as a little unorthodox.” Oh yeah?

“Really. Well let me ask you something. Would you like to put that earring back on?” Hot. I’m thinking she fell under the hypnosis because hypnotism is a neutral thing? Not like compulsion that comes from vampires/hybrids. Or it might have to do with Shane being human.

Their first scene is just great. From joking about the books to drinking tea to talking about smoking to Bonnie explaining how flawless witches are to Shane starting the hypnotizing movement with his hand to Bonnie starting to mimic to the moment where she realizes her earring’s off.

“Bonnie, what do you think we’ve been doing for seven hours?” ;). I just love that she’s being surprised by these simple things. This wasn’t Luka showing her channeling and making wind. Shane wrote three books. He proved she’s susceptible to hypnotism. I just….she’s so powerful and SHE has amazed people, from Elena to Jeremy on more than one occasion, and here she was sitting. Shane wasn’t even using magic. He just wanted her to sit and be in the moment.

“Well let me tell you something, Bonnie Bennett, you’re stronger than they are. You have a power of your own you haven’t even approached yet, and you don’t have to be afraid of anyone. Say it: I don’t have to be afraid.” *Crying*! Oh, my girl! :((((((

“I don’t have to be afraid.” I was staring at my computer so hard, you guys. I was leaning into it.

She says it, and then he tells her to mean it, and she needs a second to mean it. I AM IN LOVE WITH HIM TELLING HER TO REPEAT IT AND SHE REPEATS IT WITH TEARS IN HER EYES, BUT SHE REPEATS IT TO QUICK FOR ANYONE TO BUY THAT SHE MEANS IT! SHE’S JUST SAYING WORDS, BUT SHE REALLY IS AFRAID! SHE’S TIRED AND FEELS USED AND SHE’S ALONE AND IF SHE GETS HER POWERS BACK SHE WON’T GET ANY NEW MEANING OUT OF IT. IT’S JUST WORK. BUT THEN HE TELLS HER TO MEAN IT AND SHE CAN’T SAY THE WORDS AS QUICKLY AND AS NONCHALANTLY AS SHE DID BEFORE. SHE HAS TO STOP AND THINK ABOUT WHAT SHE’S SAYING.

    • So Elena will have those hallucinations because Connor injected her werewolf venom before she killed him, right? Good job Connor.
I will miss him so much. The best antagonist since Uncle John and they kill him off after 4 episodes but keep this lame Original family alive. This show is the worst.

I thought Elena digging that grave for Connor was in theory fantastic but I can´t with Nina´s acting in that scene. Todd Williams lying on the floor did a better job. I know I´m awful like that, lol.

I can’t believe Jeremy asked Elena if Damon/Stefan told her what was going on with him? Really? Don’t you two live together?

So it looks like what we see on the show really represents the time those two spent together which is none. They don´t even have scenes off-screen apparently.

Damon says he’ll take Elena either way. True. Good moment.

Yep because he is desperate like that.
But also where is here the continuinity … didn´t he say in the premiere that he wanted her to have a human life. Something that he didn´t get. And now he only wants to do this for his brother but not for Elena so that she could maybe have a chance again to get this human life?
And even if this is the cure they for sure won´t use it on Elena (btw why are they always only talking about one person getting cured … is this only for one person, if so it would be really pointless for all this drama around completing the tattoo if it only helps to cure one vampire) … it will probably be one of the Salvatores (I would say Damon because in some cases JP loves to make book references) or one Original (Klaus or Rebekah).

Stefan can’t handle her as a vampire. Good. I wish they’d elaborate because there’s good stuff for Stefan there.

Loved this. But you know the writers probably won´t explore this 😦

I really liked those two scenes with Bonnie and Shane and you explained it so much better than I could so I will only agree with you here.

So now they are giving Tyler a mission to free those hybrids? That´s his storyline for this season? I don´t care about the hybrids, they are a fail … especially Papa Hybrid.
Poor Dean we didn´t get to know you. I wanted so much more for you … not.

Also there is no chemistry between Phoebe and Michael … or is it the writing? That hug was so weird to watch. That scene with Caroline was awkward aswell and again I have to ask is this because of the actors or is it the writing?
What is even Caroline at this point? She had nothing to do this episode (practically since the start of the season). I thought Tyler and her would be involved in the action at the Grill but no … all she did was walking into rooms and commenting on stuff.

So now Shane is also going to be interested in Jeremy? He needs that tattoo for some reason … also for the “Cure” or has he other plans? So we are going to get Prof. Shane/Bonnie/Jeremy, right?

Also do you think it is foreshadowing that Connor talked about having to kill a friend? Will Jeremy kill somebody out of the group at one point of this season? It can´t be Elena … maybe Tyler or Caroline?

And of course Damon had to be involved into this plan after only one episode of it being revealed … its just like the coffin-storyline all over again. He must be in the known, always. Stefan can´t do anything alone. It´s so apparent how much the writers want Damon to be everywhere.

      • Also JPs love for Scandal is showing … they used a song (which I really love) that they also played on Scandal for that Damon/Stefan scene.

      • So Elena will have those hallucinations because Connor injected her werewolf venom before she killed him, right? Good job Connor.

Oh taking this back … I thought he used that werewolf venom to stake her. But it was a normal stake and he really missed her heart. This show is awful.

      • So Elena will have those hallucinations because Connor injected her werewolf venom before she killed him, right? Good job Connor.

Is that what it is? Klaus makes it sound like it’s something completely separate. If it’s just werewolf venom, then why bother dedicating an entire episode to it? Klaus is there; he can just heal her. I think it’s something different, though.

I thought Elena digging that grave for Connor was in theory fantastic but I can´t with Nina´s acting in that scene. Todd Williams lying on the floor did a better job. I know I´m awful like that, lol.

LOL! Elena in this entire episode was fantastic in theory. I shook my head when she was like, “The worse thing in the world isn’t losing other people. It’s losing yourself.” She’s once again making her pain, her feelings, her loss, herself the most important thing. It’s like when she gave a shoutout to herself at the memorial. Keep it consistant, Elena. Lol.

So it looks like what we see on the show really represents the time those two spent together which is none. They don´t even have scenes off-screen apparently.

        Smh.

Yep because he is desperate like that.

Yep. He’ll take her either way, and he’ll wait however long.

But also where is here the continuinity … didn´t he say in the premiere that he wanted her to have a human life. Something that he didn´t get. And now he only wants to do this for his brother but not for Elena so that she could maybe have a chance again to get this human life?

You’re right. He said he wanted Elena to get what she desired as a human. Now there’s a chance for that and he’s dragging his feet? Is this so they can the Salvatores disagreeing all the time?

There’s no way Klaus will choose to become human again. Elena is the only one who matters, don’t ya know? Not Caroline or Tyler. So much for “the group.” First Stefan kept it to himself and now he only tells his buddy Damon. They suck so much.

So now they are giving Tyler a mission to free those hybrids? That´s his storyline for this season? I don´t care about the hybrids, they are a fail … especially Papa Hybrid.

Yeah, I don’t care at all. At all. Like, are they secretly kidnapping Hybrids to go train them in the mountains? And Klaus doesn’t notice?

Michael and Phoebe seriously lack chemistry. And Caroline but her bitch face on the moment Hayley uttered a word. Rme.

What is even Caroline at this point? She had nothing to do this episode (practically since the start of the season). I thought Tyler and her would be involved in the action at the Grill but no … all she did was walking into rooms and commenting on stuff.

I thought the same thing, but nope. Her only part of the plan was telling them her mom had cleared the street. I don’t understand why Tyler changed his mind about going.

So now Shane is also going to be interested in Jeremy? He needs that tattoo for some reason … also for the “Cure” or has he other plans? So we are going to get Prof. Shane/Bonnie/Jeremy, right?

I wonder if he will be interested in Jeremy. I can’t say for sure. Klaus found the sword, but I guess they still need the location of the cure? Jeremy will probably agree to train with Stefan and Klaus because they’ll tell him about the cure for Elena. At the same time, them letting Jeremy in on anything is hard to imagine. But yeah, we’re getting a Bonnie and Jeremy scene next ep, not sure if Shane will also be in the scene. That would be nice.

I don’t know if Shane will be willing to work with Jeremy. We’ll see.

Also do you think it is foreshadowing that Connor talked about having to kill a friend? Will Jeremy kill somebody out of the group at one point of this season? It can´t be Elena … maybe Tyler or Caroline?

I didn’t think about that. I just thought, “Of course his friend was a woman.” Tyler and Caroline are the only choices for him, and I don’t see them getting rid of Caroline. I barely see them getting rid of Tyler.

It´s so apparent how much the writers want Damon to be everywhere.

Yep. Damon is the star of the show, so of course he has to be in on everything and comment on everything.

        • Is that what it is? Klaus makes it sound like it’s something completely separate. If it’s just werewolf venom, then why bother dedicating an entire episode to it? Klaus is there; he can just heal her. I think it’s something different, though.

Yep, sorry I just rewatched the scene and he only used a normal stake I thought on the first watch that he used the werewolf venom he took from that hybrid. What did he do with it anyways? They made a big deal out of him taking it from the head of the hybrid.
So Klaus must be talking out of experience … he killed all the first “Five” hunters, right? So what Elena lives through we have to multiply with five to get to know what he went through?

          Keep it consistant, Elena. Lol.

          Lol, true.

          and he’ll wait however long.

          Yes.

Is this so they can the Salvatores disagreeing all the time?

Probably and also to prove how epic Damon´s love for Elena is and that he learned something … or at least that´s probably what the writers are thinking.

There’s no way Klaus will choose to become human again.

Maybe the group will trick him in some way like with the desiccation spell and he will be turned. There was an interview for that episode where JP talked about it:

And, of course, what will come of one dastardly hybrid like Klaus if there is a cure? Plec said: “It’s going to make them realize, ‘Wait a second. Klaus is this immortal hybrid who has been relatively indestructible. Is there somehow a way to suddenly make him destructible?’”

There is another one, which is more spoilery for the next developments but also the decision about Elena´s first kill is mentioned: http://www.tvguide.com/News/Vampire-Diaries-Interview-1055732.aspx

          They suck so much.

Truer words have never been spoken.

          And Klaus doesn’t notice?

With those senses like he proved in season 3 … probably not. But who knows maybe Caroline will fall for him along the way while Tyler is off to do this great mission. You know the show would do this.

I don’t understand why Tyler changed his mind about going.

Yep was wondering about that aswell … first he makes such a big statement and in the end he doesn´t stop Dean from his walk to his early grave or something.

Jeremy will probably agree to train with Stefan and Klaus because they’ll tell him about the cure for Elena.

Yep that´s what I´m thinking aswell. What do you think how many vampires he needs to kill? Don´t you think that it would be easier for Klaus to just turn vampires left and right … drag them into a room and vervain them and Jeremy takes them out one after another. I know that would be really lame but so we could have wrapped that up in one episode.

Also do why do you think Shane is interested in Connors tattoo, does he want the cure for somebody? Maybe a family member or do you think there is some greater scheme to that?

I didn’t think about that. I just thought, “Of course his friend was a woman.”

I thought something like … oh no now he probably had to kill his true love or something. Because the show loves to do stuff like that.

Yep. Damon is the star of the show, so of course he has to be in on everything and comment on everything.

I´m seriously so tired of this.

          • What did he do with it anyways? They made a big deal out of him taking it from the head of the hybrid.

I think he used it to make the explosives.

So Klaus must be talking out of experience … he killed all the first “Five” hunters, right? So what Elena lives through we have to multiply with five to get to know what he went through?

My friend said it would explain why he’s cray with Rebekah and fails at almost everything.

Probably and also to prove how epic Damon´s love for Elena is and that he learned something … or at least that´s probably what the writers are thinking.

The thing is, it’s good to have boundaries: things you will and won’t accept. Love should be conditional, imo, it’s how you take care of yourself.

Maybe the group will trick him in some way like with the desiccation spell and he will be turned.

True. Why is he still here? Ugh.

With those senses like he proved in season 3 … probably not. But who knows maybe Caroline will fall for him along the way while Tyler is off to do this great mission. You know the show would do this.

How many Hybrids are there anyways? And however many there are, is Tyler trying to save all of them? Here’s another reason why I’m not interested in this story. I don’t know when Tyler started to care.

I get him not stopping Dean, since he needed to play along with his Klaus, but I don’t get why he didn’t go.

What do you think how many vampires he needs to kill? Don´t you think that it would be easier for Klaus to just turn vampires left and right … drag them into a room and vervain them and Jeremy takes them out one after another. I know that would be really lame but so we could have wrapped that up in one episode.

That would be a good idea. The thing is, we don’t know how many vampires Connor has killed. We know: he killed his friend, he kileld the Hybrid from last ep, and he killed the Hybrid in this episode. That tells us nothing. We have no way of guestimating for Jeremy.

Also do why do you think Shane is interested in Connors tattoo, does he want the cure for somebody? Maybe a family member or do you think there is some greater scheme to that?

For some reason I don’t think Shane is interested in the cure? He told Connor to go back and kill vamps so he’d explain the tattoo to him, but if Connor had walked away, I’m not sure how that would’ve impacted Shane’s plans. What I’m saying is, he didn’t seem all that desperate, as if Connor needed him more than he needed Connor. Perhaps the what’s hidden does more than cure vampires. Or it doesn’t cure vampires at all, it just does something that Shane is interested in.

            I’m tired of it too.

  10. Lol I feel like the odd one out I dont know I am all for Shane helping Bonnie out, and it was nice for her to be all about herself and noone else but maybe its because I know Shane is up to something but there was some moments he came across as slightly creepy.

Also I am wondering if there was more to the hypnosis? 7hrs hmm or maybe it was just a way to keep her out of MF until Connor finished.

Also lol at Elena I think the reason she was mad at Stefan was mainly due to the fact that she was not there when he compelled Jeremy.

    • I’m waiting to see (and enjoying it in the process). I think that right now, the two things are coexisting: Shane is up to something and he is helping Bonnie out.

Right now, I don’t think there was anything more to the hypnosis. It did make her lose time without realizing it (and so she didn’t think to go home), but Bonnie didn’t exactly lose out for not being in MF.

Which moments do you think made him creepy? Lol.

Also lol at Elena I think the reason she was mad at Stefan was mainly due to the fact that she was not there when he compelled Jeremy.

      Yep.

  11. JP talks about the episode: http://www.tvguide.com/News/Vampire-Diaries-Interview-1055732.aspx

Lol @ the interviewing asking, “What is April’s purpose?” What is her purpose, indeed.

So Elijah might be back in ep 16 or 17. Or ep 16 and 17. I don’t feel any emotion. Same for Kol.

    Second interview: http://tvline.com/2012/11/08/vampire-diaries-season-4-recap-post-mortem-elena-kills/

So Elena finds out about the cure next week?

(The Gilberts are now also “supernaturally predisposed to be in conflict.”)

    I like this.

  12. Als I saw someone speculating on fanforum that maybe Shane did light those candles and it wasn´t even Bonnie who did it, what do you think about this? Not that he has powers but like he did with her earing without her realizing it.

Haven´t even thought about that … and the only thing that is keeping me from believing this theory is that Shane probably needs Bonnie to have her powers in control for whatever he has planned to do.

    • I don’t believe this at all. He already said he’s not a warlock, and I believe him. Besides, he asked her if she wanted to put her earring back on, and I’m sure she did. That moment was too important for Bonnie, considering how depressed she’s been the last couple of episodes, for it to have been Shane who did it.
