So I liked all of the Delena scenes.

It’s just that I simultaneously imagine Jeremy disowning Elena. Like I’ve said before, she makes more sense in the triangle than she does as someone who cares about the people she grew up with. Right now I care more about her working it out with the Salvatores than I care about her keeping the people that she loves. Jeremy needs to say deuces and so does Bonnie. It’s b.s. that Jeremy has to “accept” Delena because of this and this and this. Because “this” focuses solely on Elena. Which would be fine…if Jeremy didn’t have reason to completely dislike Damon.

The Delena kiss was hot and their scene in the hotel was very pretty.

What in the world is a Forwood and why did it accost me in this episode? I totally overestimated them.  I didn’t think they’d sleep together this episode. Congrats to the 8 people who called it! Lmao.

WHEN DID STEFAN DECIDE TO ACCEPT HIS RIPPER SELF?!

I was so excited for Esther to die, and then someone pointed out that she was possessing Rebekah. I liked that she was weakening because of Abby’s death, but that seems to have been a lie. So my beef with Esther stands.

I didn’t pay much attention to Alaric’s scenes.

Claire Holt is supposed to be playing Esther, but she’s playing Rebekah. Just speaking.a lot. slower.

Jeremy’s looks of disapproval gave me life.

***I have to present at a research colloquium tomorrow morning, so I have to go to bed early which means I’ll be gone from the site until tomorrow evening. I’ll try to sneak in some replies!

  1. This is my first post…coming out of lurkdom to say hi and vent (a little). The Elena/Salvatore triangle stuff is ridiculous. Rose was trying too hard to sell it and I wasn’t buying. It seemed too forced and with Matt included in the Elena gaga fest, I’m over it. She’s not all that. ITA with you about Bonnie and Jeremy. Enough with them sacrificing themselves and their ships for her. Elena is not worth it. Regardless who is trying to pimp her. For me the best scene (other than my eye candy moments) was when Kol put the double smack down. Instead of making me like Elena, the writing continues to make me dislike her.

    • Hi! Venting is always welcomed! Lol.

Rose in this episode reminded me of why I didn’t have time for her character in season 2 (until she died). She came on as a prop and she was brought back as a prop.

      • Yes! A prop is an excellent way to describe Rose then and now. For me, she was a million times worse in last night’s episode than in the multi-ep arc she dominated last season. When the additional characters come in and hog storytime that should go to Bonnie, Jeremy, Matt, and Tyler, I tend to ignore them. And when everything always points to Elena, it makes me ignore them even more. The downfall of the show is that EVERYthing points to Elena and it shouldn’t.

Okay, before it sounds like I have a serious jones against Elena, I’ll post something positive–I thoroughly enjoyed Ripper Stefan kicking Alaric’s butt. The Klaus drawing of Caroline on her desk was horribly contrived, but Tyler’s reaction was perfect. I love that he’s not a dumbass. Okay…one more thing…Jeremy is hot and I hope he continues to dog all things Delena. If he jumps pro, it will be contrived and just as bad as him falling for a ghost over a real, living breathing bombshell.

        • The downfall of the show is that EVERYthing points to Elena and it shouldn’t.

So true. Because they do it in a way that hinders the other characters.

I thought Tyler’s reaction was rushed. That could be me not caring about Forwood though.

I didn’t like Jeremy’s jacket at all, but I liked some of his face shots. And I laughed at him playing baseball. He should not be playing baseball. He should be playing video games, and I glad they at least made him bad at baseball.

I’ll pass out if Jeremy supports Delena. I rather he just didn’t comment on it. This episode was enough to last me the rest of the series.

  2. I have a serious beef with Rose.

“But you’re young. You don’t see what I see.”

    You’re young. You’re.young.

I would argue that Jeremy’s the only one of the kids who gets matters of the heart. He’s experienced more heartbreak when it comes to the opposite sex than any of his peers. Does that mean he’s a Casanova? No. Does that mean he knows about mature love? No. But he has experience. And I feel Rose’s condescending comment negates that.

“You’re young. You don’t see what I see.”

Why the hell does he need to? Because that’s another thing this statement does. It presents Jeremy having problems with Delena as wrong. As not right. As him needing to come around. He’s young. That’s the only reason he doesn’t get it. It’s not because he has common sense and is his own person who is able to form his own opinions. It’s not because he just doesn’t like Damon for his sister. It’s because he’s young. But when he grows up into a man, when he becomes one of the big people, then he’ll automatically get Delena.

That scene is bullshit. They only want Jeremy to come around so that Elena won’t have any problems from her “family.” So that she won’t have to answer any questions. Caroline doesn’t ship DE (for the last couple of episodes. She was okay with it in 3.04), and she’s not being told she doesn’t understand. Because she’s not related to Elena (and she can flip flop when they want her to). Bonnie barely cares. She asked how the kiss was and that was that.

But Jeremy lives with Elena. He’s related to Elena. He has the potential to completely disapprove of DE and remind the audience whenever it is they give him a scene. What would it look like if Elena was going with Damon despite her brother’s (legitimate) disapproval?

    So because of that,

He’s young. He doesn’t see what Rose sees.

  3. So I really liked the Delena scenes. I liked all their interactions this episode. The kiss was good
Jeremy being able to react to them was good.
I was good with this episode I mean Forwood is just nothing to me so.
Alaric and Stefan did nothing for me either but I was okay with the ratio of good to meh until the final Rose scene that was written by a DE fangirl. I swear if I go read a DE fanfic or DE shipper’s blog those exact words have be written. The DE stuff was good on it’s own I didn’t need some outsider giving lip service to this ship.Just when I was being pulled in I’m out again.

I Loved Jeremy this episode but is he now on the DE train because of Rose I would be pissed.

    Is Rebeka dead?

    • I barely paid attention to the Alaric/Stefan scenes.

The DE stuff was good on it’s own I didn’t need some outsider giving lip service to this ship.

Exactly! And it had problems while being on its own, but I could separate it from the problems. Then Rose came in and basically gave Jeremy a freaking epiphany. This show is toxic to secondary characters.

I hope he just stops making comments. That would be good enough for me, but I dread them giving him a scene with Elena where he tells her he understands.

      She’s being possessed by Esther.

  4. Was I the only one that didn’t like the Delena scenes? Maybe it’s the hatred that I’ve had building up since season 1 because they just didn’t make any sense to me then and especially don’t now. What is so special about her? How does she make him a better person? I’m tired of being forced to like them. I was so annoyed with what Rose said to Jeremy in the car. I’m only glad that he still had that disapproving look on his face when we last saw him. Hopefully he will actually be able to talk about it in the upcoming episodes.

    Tyler/Caroline & Alaric/Stefan was boring and I honestly wasn’t paying attention.

That’s exactly how I felt about the Rebekah/Esther part. There was no indication she was her mother until she actually said it. That was bad.

I couldn’t believe Caroline still had that picture and it was sitting out in the open. This is getting too foolish.

    • Two people agree with you so far. Lol.

I don’t know how she makes him a better person. I feel that line was kind of off (as was her whole speech). Elena doesn’t make Damon a better anything. She supports him if he’s trying to act right. But she doesn’t make him better.

Hopefully he will actually be able to talk about it in the upcoming episodes.

Let’s hope it’s not with Elena. Or Alaric. Because then he’ll be limited in what he can say. I feel the only acceptable options are Bonnie and Tyler. I’m not sure about Matt ever since he said, “Once you love someone, you never stop loving them.” ?????

She could’ve at least done a bit of the monotone/robotic/stoic voice. There was nothing. Not even after the reveal. And the trailer showed more of the same.

      Lmao.

  5. Quick question: Is this a quote from the episode? Was this really said?

“I know you want to stop it. Protect her from it. But you’re young. You don’t see what I see. It’s not just that she makes him a better person. She does, but, he changes her too. Damon challenges her, surprises her. He makes her question her life, beliefs. Stefan is different. His love is pure and he’ll always be good for her. Damon is either the best thing for her or the worst.”

    • Oh you bet. From Rose’s mouth to Jeremy’s ears while Delena’s sitting in the front seat. Hence my rant a couple of posts above. Everything was fine until that scene. Smh.

    • Urgh, I can´t deal with this. I will skip that one. I´m glad that some of you guys liked the DE-stuff but if it is presented with this and especially involving Jeremy then I seriously can´t accept it.

And I saw some of the gifs of what Damon said to Jeremy. I can´t deal with this either.
Can they ship off the Triangle to another show and let the other cast members have their own?

Was there even talk about them compelling him? And what did Rose do except for pimping up the “epicness” of Delena? What did I read about a vamp named Mary on TWOP? Did she turn Rose?

      • I will skip that one

Scratch that, I caved in lol, but I will take a page out of Stefan Salvatores handbook and blame it all on Emily because she started discussing that episode with me after watching it.

I shouldn´t have watched that Delena scene because in gif sets it looked really hot but when I saw the complete scene it was soo cheesy and like someone took it out of a novel adding Damon with his open shirt. What was that wind blowing in Elena´s hair??? It reminded me of the time when I watched some Bollywood movies in which the beautiful woman had always wind blowing through her hair. I expected that a group of dancers would show up and start to sing. It was so weird, that totally took me out of that scene. And then Jeremy showed up.

In that scene in the motel room with the wild shirtless Damon appearing I just couldn´t shake up the thought that Elena was the reincarnation of JP onscreen. Must have been because I watched that producers preview in which she was all *Delena feels* and that´s so awesome. The lingering looks on his shirtless body and the heavy breathing. Just like I imagined Julie sitting in front of her screen and watching the scenes. Lmao. Sorry I´m just cruel, but that´s how I saw that.
They wanted to make it too epic again imo and you could feel that.
Don´t even remember the song playing in the background … but at least it wasn´t “No Light, No Light”.

Delena/Jeremy was so problematic I can´t even, inserting Rose was the worst. I just couldn´t and especially in their last scene. I hope that look of Jeremy didn´t mean that he now “understands” the “epicness” of Delena. It was awful.
I don´t want to see Damon and Jeremy together in scenes ever again. And Elena treated him like a child again.
What about that compulsion, did I miss something or wasn´t it even mentioned?

Why was it necessary for Damon to know scary Mary or whatever he called her?
I knew that Rose wasn´t turned by an Original. It would have been too easy.

Kol looked good and I liked when he strolled in and attacked Damon with that baseball bat. Conveniently nobody was there anymore to witness this, lol. But of course Damon could outsmart him again. Such a fail. 1000 years old vampire fooled twice by the likes of Damon Salvatore.
That second scene with him in Mary´s house was better but I expected more of him than three hits before he said they would be even. That´s not “even” in my handbook.

Rebekah is such a mess. I felt bad for her from the start. Caroline slut-shaming her (again!). What´s up with that? Matt manipulating her and she is buying it and then her mother. As much as screentime she gets the writers really don´t know what to do with her. You already mentioned it but Claire really didn´t play Esther good at all. It was a mess. Why is she able to enter that cave? She is still a vampire … or what is going on.
But I liked that Esther was going to die because the line was broken, but why took it soo long? And is she still able to draw power from their line?
Btw, does Rebekah know that Matt killed her brother?

Forwood … I can´t even, no chemistry and that convenient placed drawing. Their story couldn´t have gotten any worse.
Why is MT looking so skinny, did breaking the sire bond make Tyler stop eating?
And don´t you love that his storyline for the last 7 episodes was summed up in 1 sentence? They don´t care at all about him and his development.

Stefan and Alaric was something I thought could be very good but it wasn´t … expected more. But now I know how I can see the diference between creepy!Alaric (the bad one) and “the other creepy one” … the bad one has whiter teeth. At least it looked like it in that one scene lol.

        • Scratch that, I caved in lol, but I will take a page out of Stefan Salvatores handbook and blame it all on Emily because she started discussing that episode with me after watching it.

Lmao. And I’ll be the Damon to your Stefan and be completely unapologetic for basically being the worst: first telling you that I would skip the ep, then watching it and then making you watch it too, lol.

I thought the ep was ok. But I felt like there were a lot of plotholes and shortcuts? I mean, this is TVD but still. Like, why did Matt/Caroline feel the need to distract Rebekah? Did they give a reason? I mean, nobody can tell me that Klaus and Rebekah give a damn about Tyler and his whereabouts. And, like Ashley pointed out, there was the picture sitting out in the open. Etc.

I actually felt bad for Rebekah in this episode. There she was preparing for another school dance she won’t be able to attend. Poor girl.

          • Lmao. And I’ll be the Damon to your Stefan and be completely unapologetic for basically being the worst: first telling you that I would skip the ep, then watching it and then making you watch it too, lol.

Lmao. Truth you speak. We are are our greatest enablers.
This has to mean our bromance is the most epic out of all epic ones.

Etc.

            I agree.
Before I watched the episode I read some reviews and somebody speculated that Caroline still thinks Klaus would stalk her and that is why wanted to distract Rebekah (and therefore Klaus? Um okay) so that they don´t notice that Tyler is back but more likely to be sure that Klaus doesn´t know about them being back together. I don´t even know why she is thinking he still is so interested in her. She betrayed him … other people would be either stored in boxes or dead a long time ago.
But I saw a quote on tumblr and apparently Joseph said “I love Rebekah but it’s gonna be Caroline for obvious reasons.” after a question about who he would choose as a companion. Apparently he said that in this interview: http://www.theinsider.com/tv/51498_Joseph_Morgan_Season_Three_Finale_Spoiler_Interview/index.html
I watched it but I didn´t even get that … have to watch it again. Lmao at some of his comments but he is really cute in interviews.
That picture sitting out in the open was so ridiculous, even if Caroline didn´t want to throw it away who thought of this? Ridiculous, if she really loved the drawing so much she would have put it into a frame or at least into a book so that it won´t crumble or get coffee on it. Lol.

Felt the same about Rebekah that girl really can´t win.

            • But I saw a quote on tumblr and apparently Joseph said “I love Rebekah but it’s gonna be Caroline for obvious reasons.” after a question about who he would choose as a companion

Smh. I just want it to end. I watched the interview and now it amuses me when the actors complement the writers considering you can tell they’re not happy with what they’re doing to their characters.

That picture sitting out in the open was so ridiculous, even if Caroline didn´t want to throw it away who thought of this? Ridiculous, if she really loved the drawing so much she would have put it into a frame or at least into a book so that it won´t crumble or get coffee on it. Lol.

She couldn’t have at least rolled it back up?

        • Lmao!

What was that wind blowing in Elena´s hair???

I’m still trying to figure that out. As well as where Forwood found blankets for the old slave quarters *____*. Tyler doesn’t sleep there, and I doubt they’ve had sex there before.

The Delena was totally cheesy, but it worked for me. Lol.

In that scene in the motel room with the wild shirtless Damon appearing I just couldn´t shake up the thought that Elena was the reincarnation of JP onscreen.

LOL! My God, did she really say “Delena feels?”

I think season 1 was the last time I enjoyed a Damon/Jeremy scene. I can’t. Damon joked about Jeremy dying and asked what was the point of him being alive, and Elena was just standing there. They turned Damon picking on Jeremy into “banter.” It wouldn’t be so fucked up if there wasn’t history of both Damon and Elena exerting power and control over Jeremy. And he doesn’t get the chance to react.

Of course they didn’t mention the compulsion. Why would they? They’d have to care about Jeremy’s character, and Delena going to Denver had nothing to do with him.

Vampires know every other vampire. It’s freaking ridiculous. Mary was old enough to know Originals. Why the heck does a vampire as young as Damon know her? And of course they had sex.

1000 years old vampire fooled twice by the likes of Damon Salvatore.

Yep, but Kol was for sure able to just kill Mary *____*.

but I expected more of him than three hits before he said they would be even. That´s not “even” in my handbook.

Apparently none of them care that Finn died. Worse, none of them seem to care that these people are trying to kill them. Except for Klaus. Rebekah took a ride from Matt and actually questioned why he was being nice. She should’ve died just for that bout of stupidity. And Matt should’ve died for being stupid enough to get in a car alone with Rebekah after he 1)killed her brother and 2)tortured Damon, someone whom he knows. But he doesn’t seem scared of her in the least. What was the point of Matt being in this episode?

          Caroline slut-shaming her (again!).

Caroline loves to slut-shame. I don’t get the point of this scene, other than to let us know the decade dance is coming. Why did they need to dupe Rebekah? Rebekah wasn’t even paying attention to Caroline. And it’s not like she’s supposed to be watching out for if Tyler comes back. Lastly, Tyler came back! Which means Rebekah’s going to find out, so…..what the heck was the point?

Why is MT looking so skinny, did breaking the sire bond make Tyler stop eating?

It boggles my mind that some people think Forwood is “as hot as ever.” I watched the preview scene with them, and it was stale as hell. It played out better in the episode and that’s only because music was added to the scene. Most of their chemistry comes from music! Lmao. And of course they slept together. Do they have conversations? What do they talk about when they do? I can’t picture them getting lost in conversation only to realize two hours has gone by. Tyler didn’t sound or look relieved when he told Caroline he’d missed her. Jeremy looked happier watching Bonnie walk down the street in season 2. Smh.

And don´t you love that his storyline for the last 7 episodes was summed up in 1 sentence?

You know what I love more? That Stefan’s 19 episode-long Ripper arc was resolved with him accepting himself (offscreen) and thus Klaus can’t control him anymore. Whatever the heck that means.

          • I’m still trying to figure that out. As well as where Forwood found blankets for the old slave quarters *____*. Tyler doesn’t sleep there, and I doubt they’ve had sex there before.

            We will never know.
So these are really the old slave quarters of the Lockwood family? I know that this show doesn´t realize what they are doing with this and the history of the town, but it is so disturbing to think of it. These teenager don´t care about anything. Not what happened in this town days ago so why would they care what happened in this town more than a century and a half ago. It´s so awful.

LOL! My God, did she really say “Delena feels?”

Lmao, no she didn´t. But she spoke about the DE roadtrip and Elena figuring out her feelings and what is going to happen and then you could see her face and she said “It´s awesome” … and I thought a DE-fangirl was sitting in front of me.

I agree with you on all points regarding Jeremy. It was just the worst and as much as I liked Jeremy´s disapprovings glances I just wanted him to say something/anything he was so quiet this whole time. Like Bonnie he was not allowed to speak or at least much.

And of course they had sex.

Smh. Of course they had to.
And they were really lucky that this centuries old vampire wasn´t out of the country or you know perhaps on another continent. Everything seemed to be so convenient. Of course Kol also knew immediately where Mary lived even after he was out for a whole century.
Of course no problem with killing Mary, she was a woman and she isn´t a Salvatore. Smh.

She really loves to slut shame are the reviewers acknowledging this?
Like I replied to Emily I saw some speculations about being because of Klaus stalking Caroline and she didn´t want him to know that she is back together with Tyler.
But it was so stale and awkward. Are these the “scenes” Candice was talking about in her interview? Underlying mutual respect? Hah.
Now Esther is in Rebekahs body and I don´t think she will care about things like that.

What was the point of Matt being in this episode?

To be a help so Forwood can reunite. And Caroline even forgot to say “Hi” for him. No appreciation. Lol. And perhaps hinting to a possible Matt/Rebekah pairing for next season? Why was this even in the synopsis?

Word to your Forwood comment. They had potential in the first half of season 2 but now there is nothing there.
I watched that preview clip with them too and Emily asked me if I think music could make this better. And I said no because it was so stale, even when they walked up to kiss each other … so awkward. But I was wrong the music made it a little bit better. But that scene in the quarters was so lacking of any chemistry. Did the writers told Candice and Michael that they will break up in the final and they stopped making any effort to make the scenes work?
And I don´t know if I remembering that wrong there was this scene in her bedroom before Tyler found that pic. And Caroline was talking to him … and I thought she would say something more because that dialogue was so weird and then suddenly she leans in and kisses him … it looked so out of place. But perhaps I´m remembering wrong.

You know what I love more? That Stefan’s 19 episode-long Ripper arc was resolved with him accepting himself (offscreen) and thus Klaus can’t control him anymore. Whatever the heck that means.

Smh. They messed that sl up this whole season and now that the ToD has to come to a head, Stefan has to be in control so Elena could choose him or something like that.
I´t such a disservice to this character. No wonder Paul sounds really bitter when asked about Stelena and his Ripper Arc now. I discussed it already with Emily. We think that he is afraid of Stefan being only about Elena and if she chooses Damon in some kind of way that he wouldn´t move on but still hanging around and waiting for her to come back. Therefore making him really pathetic. And I think if Elena chooses Damon in the future this will be how it is played out because Stefan can´t have another love interest, it has to be all about Elena (and Damon).
Because “what Paul wants and what he gets are two different things” according to JP.

            • So these are really the old slave quarters of the Lockwood family?

Yeah, the slave quarters turned into a transition room for the Lockwoods.

These teenager don´t care about anything. Not what happened in this town days ago so why would they care what happened in this town more than a century and a half ago. It´s so awful.

              Yep.

It was just the worst and as much as I liked Jeremy´s disapprovings glances I just wanted him to say something/anything he was so quiet this whole time. Like Bonnie he was not allowed to speak or at least much.

Yep. Jeremy can say his piece without disrespecting Elena. He’s an opinionated person and he makes comments. It’s so frustrating how everyone has to agree. No one is allowed to stand out due to legitimate hang ups that they have.

And they were really lucky that this centuries old vampire wasn´t out of the country or you know perhaps on another continent.

Are these writers serious? Why do all of these centuries old vampires live in the United States? Mary lived in Louisiana, right? So they also live in the same region. Plus they said Mary was a groupie which means not only Kol kill he easily, but he probably made her believe he wanted her. Ugh.

Like I replied to Emily I saw some speculations about being because of Klaus stalking Caroline and she didn´t want him to know that she is back together with Tyler.

But it was so stale and awkward. Are these the “scenes” Candice was talking about in her interview? Underlying mutual respect? Hah.

That makes no sense, especially since Klaus is going to see Tyler next episode. Smh.

              Hah, indeed.

And Caroline even forgot to say “Hi” for him. No appreciation. Lol.

              Lmao.

Did the writers told Candice and Michael that they will break up in the final and they stopped making any effort to make the scenes work?

Lmao. There was just nothing there.

I don’t remember the bedroom scene that well.

It’s so convenient that they wrapped up Stefan’s “storyline” just in time to be completely devoted to caring about DE and be hurt by it, etc.

Because “what Paul wants and what he gets are two different things” according to JP.

While I get the sentiment, I look of the state of this show and his character, and I think that’s a very sad mindset. Does she listen to her actors at all? At all? Does she even know how they interpret their characters?

  6. Is it just me or is the lighting on the show getting darker and darker. I can barely see people’s faces even when they are indoors.

LMAO. I am so happy I quit watching half-a-season ago because this is the most ridiculous thing I ever read. Also, we all remember Rose had admitted, back in S2, that she never had any significant romantic relationship neither as a mortal or as a vampire? She had said that nobody had ever loved her romentically… so, the writers had Jeremy, who had several loves, being given pep-talk on love matters by a SEXUALLY REPRESSED VAMPIRE!

It doesn’t get any more ridiculous than that, folks.

    • Hi Sky!

so, the writers had Jeremy, who had several loves, being given pep-talk on love matters by a SEXUALLY REPRESSED VAMPIRE!

*Dies.* Such a good point! What does Rose know? Is she talking about her experiences from reading romance novels?

They really should not have other people sell Delena. It falls apart.

Damon is either the best thing for her or the worst.

Why would this make Jeremy believe in Delena? Remember when Vicky was either the best thing for Jer or the worst for him, and Elena was completely against it?

  8. Just a question, did anyone see the ratings for this episode? They are really bad and of course the fandom is discussing what it could mean.
What is the importance of the downloads on iTunes?

Of course the 2 weeks hiatus plays into (but in some cases also not see Homecoming 3.17 – long hiatus – New Deal 3.32) it but the ratings aren´t that good anymore. We had New Deal which was very good … and then that ball episode was very good but after that the ratings really sucked.

I remember a tweet of JP that they don´t look on the live ratings because of American Idol (since when is it on?) but the DVRs seem to be the same according to her. But why was she so proud to re-tweet the live ratings of the episode that aired after Twittergate, when she doesn´t care about the live ratings?
I really hope they get a hint that it is not all about the ships but the plots and characterization that people don´t make tune in again.

    • Yep, I saw them. A travesty. And I don’t think it was just the hiatus. It’s the quality of the season. Yeah, ratings do drop when a show takes a break, but this was bad. The season is a mess, and viewers can’t count on anything. The plot has been all over the place, and it’s the end of the season. People don’t need to hope they’ll turn it around anymore.

They totally look at the live ratings, lol. If they didn’t, she wouldn’t have tweeted the ratings after TwitterGate in a fit of pettiness. I took the show off my DVR lineup after TwitterGate, and I still haven’t put it back on.

  9. I just thought about something, do you remember the tweets of the editor we spoke about in regards to a scene with spell casting, sounds, fire etc. We never saw that scene on screen.
At least not in the way she described it with all the special effects. Nothing happened in that scene between Rebekah and Esther.

So she tweeted about that phenomenal scene and in the end had to cut it out herself. Lol. Perhaps JP didn´t like the magic part.

    • I thought about that while watching the scene, because I remembered our conversation. Didn’t she say there was wind? Wind wouldn’t have fit in that scene, but I guess the voices were supposed to come in while Esther’s body was shaking. Eh. Sucks for her that she had to cut it. Didn’t we speculate (in horror) that the scene might happen at the witch house?

      • Didn’t she say there was wind? Wind wouldn’t have fit in that scene, but I guess the voices were supposed to come in while Esther’s body was shaking.

She said that it really wouldn´t have suited that scene but wasn´t it different from what we saw in that one promo, did even the flames went higher when Esther did what she did with Rebekah (I still can´t figure out what Rebekah is now supposed to be – possessed, did they body swap or does Esther only inhabitate her body).

Didn’t we speculate (in horror) that the scene might happen at the witch house?

Yep we did. Do you think they would have used the Witches House as a set for Esther like going in it and asking for help because she is dying and them refusing it? But in the end they cut it. That wouldn´t be very practical and they would also have lost money.

        • You’re right, the flames didn’t go up like in the previews.

For now, I’m going with she’s possessed.

Yeah, they would have lost money. If they thought of that, I’m glad they came to their right minds and cut it.

  10. Btw, I think both Salvatores should have died in this ep. For real. There is no reason why they are still alive. Kol should have killed Damon and Klaus should have killed Stefan. (And how rich is it that, according to JP, we will find how Klaus handles rejection when it comes to Klaroline, something which probably will consist of him shaking her again or worse. But when it came to Klefan in this ep Klaus was just all /sadface.)

    • I thought we saw how he handled rejection when he burned the pictures. *Sigh.*

You’re so right though. If Klaus just killed the Salvatore, he wouldn’t need to worry about the stakes. No need to worry about Alaric because Klaus and his crew are supposed to be Original vampires.

Why is Klaus even sticking around to get the stakes? Just take Elena and move to Belgium.
