    • My face looked like Jeremy´s when Rose said that … it makes me so uncomfortable and I really hope that they cut this line out like they did with her line last year.

    • Why do they do this? Wy do they have random people prop this couple? Why do they have no respect for characters like Jeremy and Caroline? Can’t they just not care?

      • Right? They messed with his brain twice now. Plus, Damon tried to murder him. Oh, and remember that time Damon slammed Jeremy’s head against a table? This was right after he was locked in a trunk for hours by Katherine? So, of course, Jeremy is going to listen to this mess without a reaction.

        What is this show?

  1. Are you looking forward to that roadtrip, Alta?

That scene in the motel is probably a shout out to book DE fans I think something like that happened in the Return trilogy but I never read it so I can´t say for sure.

The wrong people Jeremy is hanging out are probably Kol and perhaps some of his minions that he compelled or turned. Could it be Kol who attacks Damon with the baseball bat in the promo because that editor who can´t stop tweeting said that Damon will fight against an Original.

So Klaus and Stefan are trying to find the last stake … why isn´t Alaric in the episode, perhaps compulsion would help and he could tell them where the stake is. Don´t know if we still see the Alaric/Bonnie scenes but shouldn´t they happen in this episode where they are searching for the last stake?

Tyler will probably see Klaus wonderful drawing of Caroline and the pony and that is why suspect something. But why didn´t she throw it away … it was ugly.

If we look at the promo Delena´s main purpose doesn´t seem to be checking up on Jeremy but using him to get the information out of Rose. Who do you think turned Rose?
Elijah would be the obvious solution but would the writers go that way? Probably. But does she have to be turned by an Original she could also be a vampire of a 4th or 5th generation and doesn´t even know who turned her sire. That would drag this sl out … and that is what the writers are doing this season at its best.

What are Rebekah and Esther doing in the promo? And why does she have power again? Does she channel David Coperfield?

I never wanted Jeremy to return like this, I wanted him to come back as a badass vampire hunter and shot Damon in the back with a crossbow because he compelled him. I´m happy to see his face again but I never wanted this ghost sl to come back and like Alta mentioned in the discussion for last episode it will be filled with retcon. Jeremy doesn´t have a connection to Rose, why has he still the power to see ghost and Rose moved on – ia she only coming back because she loves Damon so much, wants to save him and has to announce her shipper preferences? Urgh. I hate it.
That is why I would have liked it more if Trevor turned Katherine … because he was the lovesich puppy and he would have a reason to stay on earth because he can´t move on from Katherine … but there would also be the problem with him having no connection to Jeremy. I smell retcon two weeks beforehand.

Has anyone read the book “Heart of Darkness” and do you think the writers choose that title inspired by this book. I only read the synopsis and I know of a german movie adaption and I for sure hope not.

Another question why is Bonnie not in this episode?

    • Are you looking forward to that roadtrip, Alta?

      *_______*.

The wrong people Jeremy is hanging out are probably Kol and perhaps some of his minions that he compelled or turned.

I hadn’t thought of that. I don’t know how I feel about Jeremy “hanging with the wrong crowd” meaning he’s hanging with a vamp. It would just provide yet another opportunity for Elena to be a hypocrite. But Kol is supposed to come back, so it’s probably him.

why isn´t Alaric in the episode, perhaps compulsion would help and he could tell them where the stake is.

Because that would make too much sense. Same reason why Klaus didn’t even try to compel Damon to tell him where the other stakes are.

I think Elijah turned Rose. I’d be mildly impressed if they had it be Rebekah. If all of these important vamps originated with Rebekah. I won’t be surprised if it’s Elijah or Klaus, but my money’s on Elijah right now.

What are Rebekah and Esther doing in the promo? And why does she have power again? Does she channel David Coperfield?

Lol. I won’t understand it. I won’t. I know they’re going to come up with some bullshit that will directly render Abby’s death useless. Because Esther’s not supposed to have a large amount of power. It’s supposed to be fleeting because of the fact that she’s channeling the Bennetts. And now that connection has been broken, so…..Why is she still here?

I never believed for one second that they’d have Jeremy become a vamp hunter. And yeah, Rose moved on, so what the heck is going to be their excuse for him contacting her? Why the heck do we need a ghost whisperer when we have a witch?!!!!

I’ve never read it. But these people even broaching the topic of the dark side of colonization while omitting the only character of color on their roster is just a recipe for disaster.

She’s not in it because character continuity specifically when it comes to Bonnie offends these writers.

      • What are Rebekah and Esther doing in the promo? And why does she have power again? Does she channel David Coperfield?

Does this mean vampires can now be channeled? :\

        • David Coperfield is a vampire? Lmao.

But you probably mean Rebekah … I really don´t know what is happening and do you think that is the scene the editor spoke about?

          • probably. ugh what if Rebekah gets turned into a human and is therefor a witch and therefor BETTER THAN BONNIE AT ALL THE MAGICAL THINGS!

It’s too bad we have to follow Elena and the Salvatore’s when they leave Town. it can’t just be like when Bonnie, Tyler, Jeremy leave town and therefor the disappear (Matt can’t afford to leave town so he just goes to school)

            • Lmao @ Matt.

It would be awesome to have Elena and a Salvatore leave town and instead of following them, we stay in Mystic Falls. Then Bonnie could stage a one-woman coup and torture Stefan. I honestly don’t know which of the characters would help her. They’ve acclimated so well with the Sals. So she’d do it alone. Maybe Klaus would help for the Lols.

            • ugh what if Rebekah gets turned into a human and is therefor a witch and therefor BETTER THAN BONNIE AT ALL THE MAGICAL THINGS!

Oh no Cana now you are planting these horrid ideas in my head … do not want do not want at ALL. Because I think they will let Rebekah survive this season and come back in season 4 … perhaps as a regular.
But there were no indications about her being a witch and having powers in the flashbacks. That would be so much retcon … so it probably could happen.
I never thought about this … noo it can´t happen on screen.

This roadtrip theme is pretty redundant for Damon and Elena, the writers don´t know what to do, original ideas aren´t on their plan anymore. Did we ever get a SE road trip?
That´s only reserved for the ToD because we have to know where they go and how they come to this new place. The other character simply apparate to the destination the writers want them to be.

              • But there were no indications about her being a witch and having powers in the flashbacks.

That’s an indication that, wait for it, the writers didn’t think this through. I still don’t get why the Originals had to be former witches, and I still hate it. None of them displayed magic or any knowledge of it, and that’s something they could’ve done in the flashbacks (not that that would get me to like the idea). It’s like they (the writers) only thought as far as, “They won’t expect this one!”

      • I see your excitement lmao. But you are not alone in this.

I hadn’t thought of that. I don’t know how I feel about Jeremy “hanging with the wrong crowd” meaning he’s hanging with a vamp. It would just provide yet another opportunity for Elena to be a hypocrite. But Kol is supposed to come back, so it’s probably him.

That´s true but in the promo they don´t even seem concerned with anything besides using him as a ghost whisperer.
I think Kol will be there also because last episode indicates it with him being in Denver and stalking him and his dog.

Because that would make too much sense. Same reason why Klaus didn’t even try to compel Damon to tell him where the other stakes are.

They have to drag it out that also could be a reason, because I don´t think they will find it next episode.
That would have been easier but at least the one Alaric had/has Klaus wouldn´t have found that way because only Alaric knew where he put it.

I don´t think it is Klaus because that would be the easy way and Tyler wouldn´t be in danger of getting killed off. I think it is either Elijah or Rebekah but they will probably go with the obvious solution which is Elijah.

I won´t understand it either. Probably because they needed another witch so that Bonnie couldn´t do the big spells anymore.

That whole storyline with them going to Jeremy is a way to bring DE together again, let the sparks fly and have somebody rooting for Delena to get together. It won´t make any sense I will tell you. And I spoke with Emily about it but that editor whose tweets I emailed you is giving many spoilers away. She also spoke about her having a preference in the ToD and that a character would speak about that in this episode … it is probably Rose. Because she knew Stefan and Elena so well.

while omitting the only character of color on their roster is just a recipe for disaster.

That´s what I thought so too. They probably saw the title and thought it was beautiful but never thought about the implications.

She’s not in it because character continuity specifically when it comes to Bonnie offends these writers.

        Smh.

  2. I have to say I think I may miss this episode, the only thing that I am interested in seeing is Steven and Michael and…. yeah thats it. Also JP tweeted that this ep and ep 20 will have a lot of romancy stuff, so this will deffo be a ep focused on D/E and honestly I am just soo bored of the triangle. I mean seriously they even have Rose being a D/E shipper urgh.

”Another question why is Bonnie not in this episode?”
Exactly where is she? Probably off bonding with Jamie off screen, I am wondering how he becomes her date at the dance, maybe they are already together:rollseyes:

    • I mean seriously they even have Rose being a D/E shipper urgh.

That’s nothing new. Did you mentally block out Rose staying in MF to help Damon with “all things Elena?” Lmao.

I really don’t know what I’m looking forward to in this episode. Like, at all. Not even Jeremy.

    • They can’t have Bonnie/Jeremy/Tyler in the same episode because the writers know people will start shipping it and they’ll get requests. So they’re just trying to nip it in the bud.

Especially since both actors have requested scene’s with Kat … >_>

    • Lol it looks like he will make quite an entrance. Also love Jeremy he looks like he couldnt care less. Also he is looking good, so hot.

      • I’m holding off on celebrating. He might go, “What the hell?!” in Jeremy fashion and actually be worried about Damon. Especially since he might be helping Rose pimp them out later.

I’m…having issues with Jeremy’s looks. I think he’s too buff! Or his clothes are too little. I also miss his darker-colored clothes. That red jacket is so ugly, lol.

      • I am confused as to what “Dark Bonnie” would look like. How would she be different from the Bonnie we have now? Bonnie violated Luka’s mind just like Sage violated Rebekah’s mind a couple of eps ago. What Sage was torturing Damon for, Bonnie also did. I’ve complained about Damon not respecting Elena’s wishes. Well, Bonnie essentially roofied Jeremy last season. Bonnie helped the Salvatores torture and murder Mason. We don’t see much of her on the show but what we have seen seems to be already dark imo. Maybe these fans are talking about Bonnie having more of a spine when it comes to the Salvatores/Elena?? What is your take on this?

        • I mentioned in one of the podcasts that I’ve had an aversion to dark!Bonnie for the past three years because people usually bring it up as some sort of payback for her friends ignoring or not appreciating her. Then it turned into this Klonnie thing. Either the reasons I see usually have to do with Bonnie getting back at her friends. After 3.15, I finally say a reason for Bonnie to go dark. Except you have a point, Bonnie’s already done plenty of shady things, so the word “dark” doesn’t work. It’s too simplistic a label.

To me, Bonnie means dark means putting herself first. By that I mean, none of that wishy-washy, I can’t do it, Stefan what do you think, Elena what do you think, I’m gonna call/check with Damon, etc. She’d still save people. She’d still help, but she wouldn’t need anybody to ask her. She’d be a one woman army because she can be a one-woman army. She has the grimoire, she has the spells, she has the power. None of them no more about magic than she does, so she doesn’t need them. She’d have a minute entourage in the forms of Caroline and Jeremy, if that. To me it means being more independent and way more strict. Like she was late season 1/early season 2, only angrier, more hardened, and wiser. And as a resolution, it would just taper down. That’s it. “Dark” usually means the person needs to eventually be saved, and that’s not what I want for Bonnie. She’d still want to save everyone (including Elena), but she wouldn’t mess with allies because that’s how she lost her mother in the first place.

So more things like invading people’s minds for info, using her powers, less patience, roofying suspects, etc. But not the channeling without permission thing. 1)I really don’t think they’ll be bringing another witch friend for Bonnie, fake or not, and 2)I really don’t think she’d do something like that again. Not so soon anyway.

How do you envision a dark!Bonnie?

          • How do you envision a dark!Bonnie?

Like I wrote above, we already have dark!Bonnie. Imo, Bonnie became dark the moment she decided to let Damon murder Mason. All the characters on this show are already very dark. Having them do more and more extreme things adds nothing to the story for me – especially since the writers let them off the hook somehow (Klaus compelling Stefan, Alaric’s ring).

I thought this is where the show was going with Bonnie after the season 1 finale. The show made more sense to me when I thought Bonnie was going to be an antagonist for the rest of the series. I don’t mean antagonist as in evil that must be stopped or wtvr. I mean a force that challenges the Salvatores – someone to give us an alternative way to see things. I don’t really see this as darker. I see this as her not being a tool for the Salvatores/Elena. That is how every character on this show should be. Who are the Salvatores to Bonnie, Caroline, Jeremy and Tyler anyway? Having each character respond in their own way to a problem and having their own priorities/agendas would be interesting – what we have now isn’t.

            • Having them do more and more extreme things adds nothing to the story for me – especially since the writers let them off the hook somehow (Klaus compelling Stefan, Alaric’s ring).

This is so true. What is the reward for them doing more and more dark things if there’s no payoff from the previous dark things?

They’re people Elena cares about, and that’s good enough, I guess.

    • Dark Bonnie or the possibility/hope of it is scary for the Bonnie fandom. I feel like it can be Klonnie all over again. The Bonnie fandom may be tricking themselves into Dark Bonnie being fact instead of speculation/hopeful thinking. I’m afraid of the reaction and disappointment that will be felt when it doesn’t happen just like Klonnie. I’m just hoping no wishing for Bonnie to have a s/l that the writers are invested in ending season 3 and going into season 4.If it’s dark Bonnie than okay I don’t hope anymore with Bonnie I wish.

  3. The thing is I have to say Bonnie fans have so much hope, because when people were speculating about Dark Bonnie the first thing that I thought was ”as if the writers will be able to do it well” one of the main reasons I do not want her to go dark is because I know the writers will ruin the sl and probably ruin her character.
Bonnie now barely gets screentime/development and sls, if she went dark will the writers all of a sudden change that??
Lets look at Stefan’s ”rippah” sl that was realy badly handled, lets look at Klaus he is going to hs dances to break up a hs couple seriously lol.
As always when it comes to Bonnie I feel like the writers will not be invested in that sl.

Also ep20 description is out, why is Bonnie asking Jamie? The writers seriously bug, I knew they will be handled like this, Bonnie and him have barely interacted, Bonnie has not mentioned him, there has been no passing line about still being in contact with him but she will ask him to the dance.
Im sure that ep Bonnie will say she has been talking to him and hanging at the house with him since Abby left:rollseyes:

    • That’s how I feel about it too. The writers already lack a long attention span. I seriously question how much of a handle they have on Bonnie’s internal workings as a character. I mean….they just had her forgive Elena. Just like that.

Don’t forget to wait until the spoiler chat for 3.20 synopsis discussions. Lol.

  4. Some new spoilers for this episode:

That´s a video of JP talking about the last few episodes, she also mentions something about season 4 and them planning it already. So if you don´t want to know anything about that, don´t watch it.
But she also speaks about Jeremy and Kol and Delena coming to Denver, of course she has to mention a “funny” one-liner of Damon after both of them see Jeremy playing baseball. Something like “remind me to compel him to be better in sports the next time around” Smh. We will probably see Elena looking shocked about what Damon says but in the end not commenting on it.
And why is Kol able to manipulate him? Does this mean he doesn´t wear his vervain bracelet anymore … or didn´t or smart folk called Elena and “the creature called Dalaric” didn´t even think about giving it back to him?

And another article about JP previewing the final episodes. I will only quote the parts for this episode:

April 19, “Heart of Darkness”: Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Elena (Nina Dobrev) travel to Denver to check on Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen), who has no idea there’s an Original vampire (Nathaniel Buzolic’s Kol) in his proximity, and to ask him to communicate with dearly departed vampire Rose (guest star Lauren Cohan) to find out whose blood turned her. As we’ve seen in the promo, Elena will tell Damon that Stefan (Paul Wesley) thinks she has feelings for him. “We have a very passionate fandom that has very passionate opinions about things like whether Elena should be with Stefan or with Damon,” Plec says. “With Stefan’s encouragement, Elena is trying to understand and explore this relationship that she’s developed with Damon. There is some series-wide epicness that goes down in this episode, for sure.” (Something she and the series’ director of photography Dave Perkal will talk about on that NAB panel is how they strive not to make the best-looking episode of television each week, but the best-looking movie you could see on TV. “We don’t tend to go on the road very often, and we’ve got Damon and Elena in a motel,” she says. “It’s a dive motel by our production office that we called Crack Alley,” she adds. “It’s a very dingy, disgusting exterior, and Dave Perkal and Chris Grismer, who directed the episode, worked together to make it sexy and interesting and visual in spite of the complications of the location itself.”)

Tyler (Michel Trevino) returns to Mystic Falls, and we’ll see a steamy reunion with Caroline (Candice Accola). “Yes. There is a lot of steam in this episode, and a lot of shirtlessness,” Plec says. “As I said at the Paley event when somebody asked me about romance, this whole season has been so sad. Everybody’s broken up, all these love affairs are unfulfilled, and there’s lots of despair and depression and tragedy. We kick a little romance back into high gear with the return of the show next week.”

Meanwhile, Stefan and Klaus (Joseph Morgan) will both be after that missing stake that can kill an Original. “Basically, Good Alaric is trying to be very cooperative and help our heroes find the stake that Evilaric or Alaric Hyde, your choice, has hidden. Unfortunately, they can’t quite figure out how to get Alaric Hyde to come out and spill his secrets, so Stefan is a predicament wherein he might have to go to some really violent extremes to get it out of Alaric — just as Stefan, of course, is trying so hard to really pull himself together and get control over his own dark side. So there’s a little bit of a kindred spirit thing happening between Alaric and Stefan in this episode as they both explore the depths of their individual darker sides,” Plec says. That sounds like an interesting dynamic fans haven’t seen before. “Honestly, it’s almost like a change of pace. They’re stuck in the basement of the Salvatore house in the cell, and Chris Grismer was like, ‘How am I gonna direct nine pages of dialogue in this single room?’ And I said, ‘I don’t know, but figure it out because it’s gonna be awesome,’” she laughs. “He decided you know what, I’m gonna pretend I’m shooting in a U-boat submarine, and just let the actors do their thing. And it’s really good stuff. I’m really happy with it.”

Matt (Zach Roerig) will try to keep Rebekah (Claire Holt) busy organizing the high school’s 1920s Decade Dance, which we’ll see in the following episode. “Poor Rebekah’s plight in life is that every time that she’s enjoying a little taste of being more human than monster, something terrible happens. This episode is no exception to that rule,” Plec says. “We’ll get to see a nice, sweet moment that happens between Matt and Rebekah early in the episode, and then things will start to take a turn for the worst for our poor girl who just can’t seem to find her way to the Decade Dance.”

I don´t get what JP means with this motel room scene and I for sure hope not that they will use one of the only FATM songs that I love for this scene. But I´m already prepared for this because I listened to it in the laste few weeks and days so often that it will probably get old for me and I won´t even care anymore lol.

So Alaric is in the episode and they try to get the information out of him with the help of violence.
Here comes in what I said about Bonnie. As much as we hate that she often only comes in because of some spell (and in the end sometimes it is even shown off-screen), this would have been the perfect situation for the Alaric/Bonnie scenes and we could also have more scenes between Klaus and her because he is involved in that too. Would have been cool like with that scene when Klaus was there when she saw Damon for the first time after he killed her mother. I think that could have been some serious tension filled scenes, but the writers are a fail, soo …
It will be all about Alaric and Stefan and according to that promo probably also about the triangle.
Don´t care about the other parts and it looks like Rebekah will be played by the gang again. That girl can never win.

    • I don´t get what JP means with this motel room scene and I for sure hope not that they will use one of the only FATM songs that I love for this scene. But I´m already prepared for this because I listened to it in the laste few weeks and days so often that it will probably get old for me and I won´t even care anymore lol.

Oh I forgot to mention where I got the information about a FATM song being played in the background of a DE-scene … first of all the editor mentioned it on her twitter and second of all JP said it in another interview.

      Here: http://blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2012/04/the-vampire-diaries-damon-and-elena-have-a-major-motel-moment.html

      • It’s embarrassing how good JP thinks this show is.

I know I’m doomed when it comes to the FATM song. It’ll probably be one I like. I wonder if the use of the song will be as good as TSC’s use of No Light, No Light. Lmao, watch TVD’s song be loud as hell and drown out the dialogue.

        • No Light, No Light.

I think it is going to be this song lol … because some Delena fans tweeted the editor about that song, because I think she asked for some song suggestions on her twitter for a romantic scene.
With loud as hell you could be right lmao

    • But she also speaks about Jeremy and Kol and Delena coming to Denver, of course she has to mention a “funny” one-liner of Damon after both of them see Jeremy playing baseball. Something like “remind me to compel him to be better in sports the next time around” Smh.

Ugh. This compulsion thing is going to be played like nothing at all. What is wrong with these storytellers?

I assume they mean he was lying to Jeremy. Basically not teling him he’s a vampire. I read the article earlier and talked about it on the podcast. If they mean he’s been compelling Jeremy, then my goodness.

Why are they so concerned about making a movie?

The writers don’t know how to mine stories are character experiences. They don’t. So of course Bonnie’s not going to be in the next episode. It’s a crime for her to get continuity from one episode to the next. Especially when she’s going through something emotional.

      • Ugh. This compulsion thing is going to be played like nothing at all. What is wrong with these storytellers?

It looks like it because there is no mention of Jeremy´s reaction to it or what they do so that he comes back with them (because SPOILER he will go back to MF with them).
They only speak about him and his part in that contacting Rose-sl.

I assume they mean he was lying to Jeremy. Basically not teling him he’s a vampire. I read the article earlier and talked about it on the podcast. If they mean he’s been compelling Jeremy, then my goodness.

I hope you are right about that.

Why are they so concerned about making a movie?

Because every episode a new movie lol

The writers don’t know how to mine stories are character experiences. They don’t. So of course Bonnie’s not going to be in the next episode. It’s a crime for her to get continuity from one episode to the next. Especially when she’s going through something emotional.

        Smh.

I really hope we get some good scenes between Stefan and Alaric and I will try to block out Matt Davis face so that I at least can enjoy this part of the episode … don´t think I will care about the other parts, they will probably make me furious especially in regards to Jeremy.

        • Plus in that interview I linked, Steven doesn’t say anything about Jeremy being angry. He just talks about the bigger storyline going on. And the writers want people to LIKE the Trio on a regular basis? It’s so frustrating.

          Smh.

Yeah, I was actually looking forward to the Delena part as the most entertaining part of the episode, but now that it’s clear this crap with Jeremy is going to be swept under the rug, I know it’s going to be a headache. But I should’ve known. Aside from this show being what it is, all they’ve talked about in regards to Elena in this episode is Delena. Nothing about her and Jeremy. Reminds me of the crap with Bonnie before 3.17 aired.

          • Plus in that interview I linked, Steven doesn’t say anything about Jeremy being angry. He just talks about the bigger storyline going on. And the writers want people to LIKE the Trio on a regular basis?

True. I didn´t even realize that … but they can´t be serious with that. Nothing comes out of this because he has to concentrate on the bigger picture with the Originals being around? But he has probably time to comment on Bonnie and Jamie? THat would be ridiculous.
            Probably. Smh.

Yeah, I was actually looking forward to the Delena part as the most entertaining part of the episode, but now that it’s clear this crap with Jeremy is going to be swept under the rug, I know it’s going to be a headache. Reminds me of the crap with Bonnie before 3.17 aired.

I discussed this already with Emily and she hoped for some consequences for them and their actions but after the promos and this new interviews I know already what the purpose of this is (DE bonding, hot and heavy scenes and finding out about Rose) and we won´t get much in regards to Elena and what she did to Jeremy. Is Jeremy even reacting to it, I want to know what they will do, because if they don´t un-compel him they have to compel him to come back to MF again, right? He wouldn´t go back with them otherwise because of that compulsion in episode 10. Urgh I hate that so much.
Your tolerance when it comes to Delena is higher than mine lol. I know that I tried it with them after reading the DE meta at the beginning of this year but then “The New Deal” came on and I was turned off immediately.

            • because if they don´t un-compel him they have to compel him to come back to MF again, right? He wouldn´t go back with them otherwise because of that compulsion in episode 10.

Right, unless they retcon it. It’s so frustrating. I still like Jeremy. I still see great potential in him as just a character. I still think he’s the non-supernatural character with the most potential, more than Matt. But he seems to be doomed, because Elena’s his sister. It’s frustrating to me that the writers don’t seem to take into account that some people might actually like Jeremy and want to see him be more than a pawn in Elena’s self-inflicted angst.

  5. Here you can find the screencaps for the webclip, it´s a Alaric/Elena scene.
She is wearing the same clothes that she wore the night before and it must be in the morning because when Damon visited Alaric it was in the morning, right?
Are these books Elena is bringing him evil!Alarics manifestos?

    http://www.ksitetv.com/vampire-diaries/vampire-diaries-screencaps-from-a-heart-of-darkness-preview-clip/13470

Don´t know why but Nina looks bored and I think I saw 7 different shots of Matt Davis face with the same expression.

And just a quick question how long does it take to drive from MF to Denver?

    • Thanks, Kathrin!

Yeah, it was day when Damon went to see Alaric at the end of the last episode.

I’m sure this scene will be riveting *_____*.

      ________________________________

    • Bonnie.looks.amazing!!!!! I barely paid attention to TSC’s parts. Bonnie! I wonder if it’s Damon’s she’s doing that to. While it would be great on one part, I want Stefan to get his!!!! Damn it! It’s so frustrating! But you know what, I’m desperate for her to inflict physical pain on at least one of the trio, so bring it on. I hope it’s not misdirection. Again, she looks great, powerful, and rightfully pissed.

I guess Jeremy’s going to end up being the only guy in Elena’s life who hasn’t put his hands on her? Awesome. Smh.

I wonder what the heck is going on with Caroline. Is it going to be Alaric? How the heck is he going to manage to overpower her?

      Thanks, Kathrin!

      • I agree and I think it is possibly not misleading because it seems to be the same area and setting, so I hope it is the same scene. But like you the first thing I thought about that hopefully Stefan is getting the same treatment. But I don´t even know when they will interact for the first time after what happened with Abby, with Damon it is confirmed because of a synopsis.

It´s sad but true … and Elena should be badly injured after that crash into the lockers, right? I´m just confused about her not being in her 20s outfit so this means this is episode 21?

I think she is kidnapped or held hostage by Rebekah because of that one tweet pic from Candice with the set chairs with Candice´s and Claire´s names on it in a class room.
I just see her being rescued by Tyler again and them hug it out in the bed. Nothing new.

And Alaric is trying to stake someone, can you make out who it is? Klaus or Kol? And there is some kind of explosion in the background or is this the next scene mashed in?
Perhaps that´s stopping him from finishing the job.

        • And with Persia White’s tweetpic, Abby might come for Damon’s butt too. Her, I don’t expect to go after Stefan since he’s not the one who killed her. But Bonnie should definitely hurt Stefan.

I didn’t even notice Elena wasn’t in her 20s outfit. Hurting Elena will probably be what makes Ric realize he needs serious help. Or something. Whatever. Elena sprung right back up after Klaus backhanded her that one time, so being thrown against some lockers ain’t nothin’.

Oh, I didn’t know Candice had tweeted a pic. Part of me hopes it’s Alaric just because I want to continue making fun of the ridiculousness of her basically not minding that he killed her father, because he can be saved. Still….I’m not excited. I had a feeling Tyler would rescue her though. I mean….that’s how this ship works.

Someone thought he might be trying to stake Tyler. I really doubt it’s Klaus. That would just be too stupid for words. It could be Kol, but if this is in the same episode as Caroline getting kidnapped, and it seems to be, then it’s probably Tyler. Maybe Alaric intercepts him as he’s trying to get to her. It’s weird that there might be an explosion. TVD doesn’t have explosions.

          • Yes she should. I want it on my screen.

But he is already locked up in episode 19. What happened to that, did someone help him to escape?
            Also true. Smh.

I´m not excited about that either, but it would be more interesting if it really is Alaric.
Lol Elena trying to save Caroline from the man she didn´t want to turn her back on.

I rewatched the promo again and someone screencapped the scene before the explosion and I was wrong …I think it is Jeremy who is trying to stake someone.

I´m not the expert when it comes to Steven but it seems to be him. Lol. I´m looking forward to that. Perhaps it is one of Klaus hybrid minions.
Don´t know who could cause that explosion, would they bring back what Bonnie did last year in “The Last Dance” if this happens in episode 21 with Jeremy and Bonnie working together I could see this happening.

            • I rewatched the promo again and someone screencapped the scene before the explosion and I was wrong …I think it is Jeremy who is trying to stake someone.

Scratch that I don´t know anymore … I think it is either Alaric or Jeremy. Someone said that Alaric wears a red shirt in that scene with Elena, but I can´t make it out.
Will have to check it again and use my gimp abilities to figure it out. Will come back with some results … perhaps,

            • But he is already locked up in episode 19. What happened to that, did someone help him to escape?

I don’t know. He might just escape on his own like Stefan did during the blood!arc. I’ll shake my head if Elena’s the one who lets him out.

Lol Elena trying to save Caroline from the man she didn´t want to turn her back on.

And of course this won’t make Caroline think twice about giving him a chance. I rewatched that trailer, and the person gagging Caroline at least has to be Alaric. Caroline’s mouth is burned at the sides which means the gag has vervain, and a vamp can’t handle that.

You made me so excited :(. It’s not Jeremy. It’s definitely Alaric.

You mean when the light fixtures were blowing up?

  6. Two new preview clips:

Elena/Nina looks totally bored even after all what Alaric or his evil alter ego did and when she says “Klaus stuff” she acts like in the end nobody would be harmed, she acts like the audience who knows that Klaus threats will never come true.

I really don´t like that every time Elena speaks about this roadtrip with Damon she says “Stefan thinks … ” “It was Stefan´s idea …” … she kissed Damon and said she didn´t regret it so she must have some feelings for Damon so why does she have to bring Stefan into this. Also in the old promo “Stefan thinks I have feelings for you”.
I just don´t like that dialogue.

    • I really dislike the dialogue in all of these promos/previews. Especially the meta comment about Stefan (him “being ‘good’ Stefan again and losing his edge”). I guess the writers thought that this was very clever/tongue-in-cheek. rme
Also regarding the ‘good’ Stefan comment – It made me think of my theory about Brian Young and his handling of the good/bad brother dichotomy. How his episodes often have lines like this.

  7. Lmao at that first preview. “I guess that’s why I’m going on this trip. To figure it out.” Didn’t you just say you were going on the trip to bring Jeremy back? Also, her trying to ask Alaric for permission/being afraid of what he’ll say would only work if anyone actually seriously disapproved of Damon being in her life. It would also work if they hadn’t taken trips together before. Stop with this backtracking crap.

Also, if they keep saying, “The other you,” or “The other Alaric,” then I can see that becoming very annoying. He’s the same person.

  8. Whatevs Alaric

I am wondering if it will turn out that Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert were abusive and severely co-dependent either with each other or with the kids. Something like that might explain Elena’s behavior.

    • Lmao. I wanna say that they’ll be perfect, but I have to keep in mind that they want to keep Elena’s life interesting. Didn’t Elena’s mom not like UJ? Anyways, I’m sure they were good parents and “better than” Abby and Kelly Donovan and Liz Forbes (in the sense that they could relate to their kids), but interesting enough to be Elena’s parents and be on TVD.

  9. Did you already see the new canadian promo, JP for sure isn´t happy with the promo team in Canada.

I only saw a poor quality version of it and the most interesting thing about it was Rebekah.
Why is she now determined to kill all the Originals?
That can´t come from her talk with Klaus last episode. If so she would only go against Klaus but not her other siblings.
Is she possessed or something and it looks like she is in the caves with somebody who has a stake in his/her hands. Could that be Esther? Or is it Alaric? I can´t make it out …

And why are they telling Klaus about the bloodlines? Is that really smart?

    • I just saw it. Why is she upset? The trailer is good. If the episode falls apart because of one scene in a trailer, then she needs to reevaluate her writing. This isn’t like an episode being leaked ahead of time. It’s a trailer. Her entire episode hinged on Rebekah switching sides? I saw that coming when I read the synopsis for episode 21 after watching episode 18. She needs to stop. And write better.

Why is she now determined to kill all the Originals? That can´t come from her talk with Klaus last episode. If so she would only go against Klaus but not her other siblings.

You bet it’s because of her talk with Klaus last episode. Because the writing is that tragic. Smh. Her reasoning is probably that if she can’t have her family, then none of them deserve to live.

Who is the person holding the stake after the scene between Klaus and Stefan? The guy with the bloody face. Is that Alaric?

And why are they telling Klaus about the bloodlines? Is that really smart?

It’s not smart. Which is of course why our “heroes” are doing it. Smh.

      • Why is she upset? The trailer is good.

The canadian trailer is always better. We get more information and I think it is not so much misdirection like we have with the other promos.
I didn´t even thought of her being upset because of Rebekah being shown as the one who wants to go against the Originals. Because the person she talks too is still in the shadows and like you said it was very easy to figure that out after her talk with Klaus last episode.
I thought it was because of the leaked kiss and the shippers who might have attacked her before the episode is even airing. But I just can´t tell. Perhaps it really was because of Rebekah.

Her reasoning is probably that if she can’t have her family, then none of them deserve to live.

        Smh.
Someone speculated that she could be possessed by Esther and that is why talks like that. I just can´t see who she is talking to but I thought at first it was Esther who is holding something in her hands and you only see her back.
That´s in the caves on the Lockwood property, right?.

Who is the person holding the stake after the scene between Klaus and Stefan? The guy with the bloody face. Is that Alaric?

Lol I also wanted to ask that because his face looked so weird in that shot but perhaps it is because of the quality. I think it is Alaric.

It’s not smart. Which is of course why our “heroes” are doing it. Smh.

How could I forget this. Our “heroes”.

While speaking off heroes, I know you usually don´t watch the producers preview, but for the others who want to see:

        • Some anonymous commenter came at me on tumblr. I criticized JP being upset, and this person told me it was not about the writing, JP’s upset because of a scene that leaked out. But I honestly cannot tell which of these scenes would shock people. The Rebekah thing was predictable, and Delena have kissed before. I like the trailer because I think it does what trailers are supposed to do: get people talking. It makes me want to talk about the episode more than the U.S. trailer did. What am I supposed to say about Delena on a bed? Smh.

I’m pretty sure they’re in the caves. If Rebekah is possessed…the girl really can’t catch a break. Lol. Would she really go to a dance after her mother possessed her? Then again, Caroline went to a ball the day after her father died or something. Eh.

          Thanks for bringing it over!

        • Since this is really the first time I’ve been in a fandom before I was wondering is it normal for the creator/writer for a show to talk this much? I’m used to the actors promoting a show because that’s who people know. Maybe it’s just from being online that I feel like Julie is around so much or talking to much it’s weird right? Are creators and writers for other shows out there like she is. Was KW out like this when he was around?

          • JP has always been the face of the show. Even when KW was more involved, people always bashed JP when it came to talking smack about the producers because she was more out there and interacting with fans than he was. This is the first Fandom I’ve been in where I know so much about what the producers think and feel. Smallville was my first Fandom, and the producers didn’t throw out their opinions as much as JP does. And from reading old Charmed boards, I gather the producer of that show wasn’t all over the fans either.

  10. I have a question for you guys: When do you think was the last time that the show actually took a risk?

I was wondering about that because I saw some media articles stating that the Possessed!Alaric SL was a risky move and I just don’t agree with that.

    • Unless Alaric dies, it’s not a risky move. Turning Tyler was risky, but then they did not follow through. Saying Stefan is a maniac who literally rips people apart was a risk, but they botched it because none of the characters really reacted. I guess the last risk they took was killing Jenna off? It’s hard to calculate the risks taken on this show, because the characters’ lives don’t really change. Their dynamics don’t change, and they don’t really grow. So what’s a risk? Don’t risks have the potential to alienate the audience and so the writers have to work at convincing them? The characters always settle back into the groove of things. Having Bonnie be antagonistic towards the two main vampires could be considered a risk, and they did let that play out for a while.
